Select the plan on the product page, confirm the page visibly shows the intended plan and billing details, then capture the screen. For a one-off image, use your browser or operating system’s screenshot controls. For repeatable captures, automate the interaction and screenshot with Playwright.
Capture the selected plan in six steps
- Open the product page. Bring the plan selector and the details you need to document into view.
- Select the intended plan. Use the page’s own controls rather than assuming the current choice is the one you want.
- Verify the result. Look for a visible selected state and check any plan name, price, billing interval, or confirmation text the page provides. A click alone does not prove the selection registered.
- Wait for updates. If the page changes content or navigates after the selection, wait until the relevant state appears before capturing. Browser automation can wait for page load states or for a specific condition; the exact signal depends on the site. Playwright’s Page API documents navigation and page-load waiting.
- Choose the framing. Use a normal viewport screenshot if the plan and enough identifying context fit on screen. Use full-page capture if relevant details are below the fold, or capture a particular element when only a component matters. Playwright’s screenshot documentation covers full-page and element capture.
- Save the image and check it. Confirm the selected state and important text are legible in the saved file. Keep enough surrounding product-page context for another person to understand what the image records.
Choose a capture method
One-off capture: browser or operating system
For a single screenshot, a manual capture is usually the most direct option: select the plan, verify the visible state, then use the screenshot control available in your browser or operating system. The exact control varies by platform, so use the instructions for your device rather than relying on a universal keyboard shortcut.

Repeatable capture: Playwright
When you need to repeat the same interaction-and-capture flow for QA or documentation, Playwright can navigate to a page, interact with it, wait for the relevant state, and save a screenshot. Its documentation describes page navigation and screenshot saving and viewport, full-page, and element screenshots.

The example’s confirmation wait only checks that matching text is visible. If the page shows that text before and after selection, use a stronger condition, such as a selected-state attribute, updated price, or confirmation message specific to the chosen plan. For a page that navigates after selection, wait for the expected URL or destination content before taking the screenshot. Avoid a fixed sleep as the only confirmation: a delay may be too short on a slow page and unnecessarily long on a fast one.
Persistent browser sessions
For flows that must keep a live browser session across several interaction steps, Capture.page’s browser-session documentation describes navigating, clicking, selecting, waiting, querying the page, and capturing within a persistent session. It is an example of that workflow, not a requirement for taking a screenshot.

When a selection-area or annotation tool helps
A browser extension can be useful if you need to capture a selected region or annotate the image. Capture by RATdeck describes visible-screen and select-area capture and annotation features on its vendor page; check that page for current availability and features before relying on them.
Frame the evidence so it is understandable
- Viewport: Best when the selected plan, its price or billing period, and enough page identity are visible together.
- Full page: Use when necessary details lie below the fold. Review the output to make sure the plan state remains apparent in the longer image.
- Element: Use for a focused component, such as a plan card, when the surrounding page is not needed to establish context.
A useful capture shows the intended plan visibly selected, keeps relevant pricing and billing text readable, and is taken after any delayed page update has finished. These checks matter whether the image is for a bug report, comparison, review, or demonstration.

ScreenshotNeo can take a product-page screenshot through one API request after you provide the page URL. The API does not select a subscription plan on the page, so first make the plan state visible using the site’s controls or an interaction flow; then capture that state.
Install the Python dependency with pip install requests. Set YOUR_API_KEY to your ScreenshotNeo access key and replace the URL with the product page you have already put into the intended state:

Bot checks or CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents, including Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The screenshot shows the wrong plan
Recheck the selected indicator, plan name, and billing details before capture. In an automated flow, make the script wait for a signal that specifically proves the desired plan is active, not merely for the click to finish.

The page changes after the screenshot
The selection may trigger delayed content updates or navigation. Wait for the expected state, URL, or page content before capturing. Playwright documents page-load waiting in its Page API; a page-specific selector is often a more useful confirmation than a general delay.
The screenshot omits important details
If the missing text is below the fold, use full-page capture. If the evidence is a single plan component, use an element capture. If using manual capture, adjust the visible page framing before taking the image.
The automation cannot find the plan control
Check that the page loaded the expected content and that your selector or accessible name matches the actual control. Product pages do not share a universal plan-selector structure; inspect the target page and update the locator accordingly.
FAQ
Does selecting a plan place an order?
This workflow documents the visible plan state; what a plan-selection control does depends on the specific product page. Confirm the page’s behavior before interacting, especially if its controls may proceed to checkout.
Should I use a full-page screenshot every time?
No. Use it only when relevant details do not fit in the viewport. A viewport or element capture can make the chosen plan and its context easier to inspect when they already fit.
