To screenshot a normal webpage in Safari on iPhone, first tap the Page Menu and choose Hide Reader if Reader is active. Then take a screenshot with your iPhone’s buttons. Choose Full Page in the screenshot preview if you want content beyond the visible screen and the option is available.
Turn off Reader before capturing the page
- Open the website in Safari on your iPhone.
- If the page is in Reader, tap the Page Menu and tap Hide Reader. Reader reformats a webpage to show its relevant text and images; hiding Reader returns you to the full webpage. Apple’s Safari guide also describes automatic Reader settings.
Take a screenshot on iPhone

Capture the visible screen or the full webpage
For the current viewport only, keep the standard screenshot and do not select Full Page. To capture content beyond the visible screen, tap the screenshot thumbnail when it appears, choose Full Page, and drag through the preview to inspect the capture. Apple specifically documents an entire Safari webpage as a Full Page capture example.

Save using the option shown in the screenshot controls. Apple says screenshots with thumbnails save automatically to the photo library; its instructions also describe swiping up or using the selected control to save full-screen screenshots. The exact controls depend on the capture view. See Apple’s guide to taking and saving screenshots and its screen capture settings guide.
If Full Page is not available
Apple’s instructions explain how to select Full Page, but do not establish a universal fix for every page or device where the option is missing or the result differs from the page layout. If you do not see Full Page in the screenshot preview, treat it as unavailable for that capture rather than assuming a particular setting will restore it.
