Confirm that grade and code on your box before starting: Bandai sells other Strike Gundam grades, editions and a separate Lite Package, and parts, accessories and markings are not interchangeable assumptions. Build from the paper manual supplied with your kit, identify the marking sheet before applying anything, and treat nippers, tweezers and other tools as aids rather than universal requirements.
Confirm which Strike Gundam kit you own
“Strike Gundam” is a family name, not one parts list. Bandai’s catalog includes multiple grades, scales and editions, so begin by reading the front and side panels of your box. The instructions, runner layout, weapons, backpack parts and marking sheet can differ between versions.

The kit covered here
- Product: ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Gundam
- Product code: 2582155
- Release date: January 15, 2022
- Scale: 1/144
Use those identifiers when buying a replacement or checking an online listing. A listing that says only “Strike Gundam” may describe a different grade or edition.
Why the exact edition matters
Before comparing kits, record four things: grade and scale, edition or package version, included equipment and marking sheet, and the tools the instructions call for. Bandai’s catalog shows distinct Strike products, including a Lite Package version. Do not assume that an accessory shown in a review or product photo is in every box.

Read the correct manual before cutting plastic
Open the instruction sheet that came with your purchase and keep it beside the runners. Bandai’s web-manual service says its online library is incomplete, that posted instructions can differ from the paper manual, and that instructions may change when product specifications change. The supplied manual is therefore the controlling guide for your specific box.
- Check the kit name, grade and product code on the cover or packaging.
- Lay out the manual so the runner diagrams and the current assembly page are visible.
- Scan the parts list and notice whether the booklet identifies stickers, transfer decals or another marking format.
- Keep every runner until the final page; a part that looks unused may belong to a later weapon or backpack step.
A related Bandai Strike Noir manual tells builders to match the numbered part in the diagram with the numbered part on its runner. That is useful general practice, but it is not a verified transcription of the ENTRY GRADE Strike manual; follow the numbering and symbols printed in your own booklet.
What tools do I need to build a Gundam model kit?
Start with the tools your manual actually calls for. The following functions are identified in Bandai’s Strike Noir instructions, while the ENTRY GRADE ν Gundam manual demonstrates that some molded-color ENTRY GRADE parts can be assembled without tools such as nippers. That ν Gundam statement is specific to that kit and does not prove that every Strike package is tool-free.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors| Tool | What it is useful for | How to treat it for ENTRY GRADE Strike |
|---|---|---|
| Plastic model nippers | Separating parts from runners and trimming gates | Useful when the kit’s parts and manual support their use; not established as universally required |
| Fine-tip tweezers | Handling small parts or stickers | Optional aid, especially for tiny markings |
| Scissors | Cutting around Gundam decals | Use only if your sheet and instructions call for a cut-out decal format |
| Phillips screwdriver | Installing screws where a kit includes them | Relevant only if your specific edition contains screw-fastened parts |
A sensible beginner setup
- Use a bright, stable work surface where small parts cannot roll away.
- Place a shallow tray or clean container beside you for parts that are not needed immediately.
- Keep the box and runner labels visible; do not discard a runner after one section is complete.
- Have the manual, a clean fingertip or soft cloth, and your chosen marking tool ready before starting decals.
These preparations reduce lost parts and prevent you from forcing a piece simply because the wrong runner or orientation was selected.
Organize runners and identify every part
Match letters and numbers before cutting
Manual diagrams normally identify a runner letter and a part number. Find that exact combination on the physical runner before you remove anything. If the drawing shows two mirrored parts, compare their shapes and numbers rather than cutting the first piece that looks similar.
- Find the runner letter printed on the frame.
- Trace the frame to the numbered gate shown in the manual.
- Compare the part’s outline, tabs and surface detail with the drawing.
- Only then separate it from the runner.
Keep left and right parts in separate piles or in labeled compartments. A mixed pile makes mirrored limbs easy to swap and can lead to stress when you try to correct the error later.

Inspect parts before assembly
Look for leftover plastic at each connection point, check that pegs are not bent, and confirm that color and surface details match the diagram. Do not press a part into place merely because it fits; an incorrectly oriented piece may lock neighboring parts in the wrong position.

The Strike Noir manual illustrates a controlled two-stage cut: first free the part from the runner with material still around the gate, then trim the remaining gate closer once you can hold the part securely. Present this as a technique shown for that kit, not a guarantee that every mark or stress discoloration disappears on every plastic.
- Hold the runner frame, not a thin antenna, edge or armor fin.
- Make the first cut on the runner side of the gate, leaving a small nub on the part.
- Set the runner aside and reposition the part so you can see the nub clearly.
- Make a second, controlled trim close to the surface.
- Check the edge under good light before fitting it into the assembly.
If a gate mark remains visible, do not keep shaving blindly. Recheck the manual’s orientation and whether the area will be covered by another armor piece. The aim is controlled separation, not maximum force.
Assemble the Strike in the manual’s sequence
Use the numbered diagrams supplied with your ENTRY GRADE Strike. The exact order can vary by edition, so the sequence below is a working method for following the booklet, not a replacement for its page order.
Head
Identify the face, helmet halves and any clear or colored detail by the manual’s part numbers. Check the front and rear orientation before closing the helmet. If a small detail is difficult to grip, use tweezers only as a handling aid; never use them to force a peg into a socket.

Torso
Confirm the chest armor and internal torso piece before pressing the halves together. Look for the diagram’s arrows or alignment marks. A seam that will not close evenly usually indicates a reversed part, an untrimmed gate or a piece from a neighboring step.

Arms and shoulders
Build one side while the manual is open, then compare the completed side with the mirrored diagram before repeating it. Keep left and right shoulder armor separate. Test the joint’s movement gently after the armor is attached; forcing a joint can stress a thin connection.
Legs
Match the numbered thigh, knee and lower-leg parts exactly. Before joining the two legs to the waist, check that both feet point the same way and that the knee details face forward. If the manual shows a left/right distinction, do not rely on the apparent symmetry of the parts.
Waist and backpack
Attach the waist only after its front, rear and side armor are oriented according to the diagram. For the backpack, verify every peg and connection angle before pressing it into the torso. Backpack equipment differs between Strike editions, so use only the parts shown in your own booklet.

Weapons and remaining equipment
Build weapons in the order printed in the manual and keep their handles, blades or effect parts with the correct assembly. A weapon that looks complete may still need a connector or hand adapter from a later step. Do not assume that equipment shown on another Strike product is included with the ENTRY GRADE 2582155 package.
Use a pause-and-check rhythm
- Read the entire diagram for the current step.
- Locate every numbered part before cutting.
- Check orientation against the drawing’s front, rear and side views.
- Press parts together with even finger pressure.
- Stop if a seam, peg or joint resists; inspect for a wrong part or remaining gate.
Identify the marking sheet before applying decals
A sticker and a transfer decal are different products. They do not use the same application method. The reviewed Bandai material does not establish which marking sheet is included with every ENTRY GRADE Strike package or regional edition, so inspect the sheet in your own box and follow its printed instructions.
| Marking type | What to check | Application approach |
|---|---|---|
| Sticker | Adhesive-backed shape that lifts from a sheet | Separate carefully, align on the part and press down without trapping folds |
| Transfer decal | Printed mark carried on a clear film or carrier | Cut around the chosen mark, secure it, rub the mark, then lift the carrier slowly |
Do not apply the Strike Noir transfer-decal procedure to your Strike kit unless your own sheet is the same format and the manual confirms it.

How do I apply the decals?
For stickers
- Identify the exact sticker number in your manual.
- Cut or separate the sticker without touching the adhesive more than necessary.
- Hold the part so its edges and panel lines are visible.
- Align one edge first, then lower the rest of the sticker.
- Press from the center outward to reduce bubbles or lifted corners.
For a tiny sticker, fine-tip tweezers can help with positioning. If it folds or lands crooked, lift it gently before pressing firmly; repeated peeling can reduce adhesion.
For transfer decals
The following sequence is specific to the transfer-decal format shown in Bandai’s Strike Noir manual:
- Cut around the selected mark, leaving a small margin.
- Place and secure the decal in the intended position.
- Rub the printed mark with a rounded point.
- Lift the carrier slowly while watching the mark.
- If part of the design remains on the carrier, put the carrier back down and rub that area again.
Bandai’s instruction for that format says an incorrectly placed decal can be removed with tape. Use that remedy only when your sheet is the same transfer type; it should not be treated as a universal fix for adhesive stickers.
Choose the order of markings
Apply markings only after the underlying armor is fully assembled and clean. Work from larger, easy-to-align marks to smaller details, and keep the manual open to the sheet diagram so you do not confuse similarly shaped symbols. If a marking belongs on a separate weapon or backpack part, apply it while that part is easy to hold rather than after it is attached to the mobile suit.

A part will not close
- Compare the part number with the manual again.
- Inspect both mating surfaces for an untrimmed gate.
- Check whether the part is reversed or belongs to the mirrored side.
- Separate the pieces gently and rebuild the current step instead of increasing pressure.
A joint feels too tight
Stop before forcing it. Confirm that armor is not blocking the joint and that the peg is aligned with the diagram. The manuals’ part-number diagrams are intended to prevent this kind of orientation error; use them rather than guessing from a similar-looking component.

A decal will not transfer
First verify that it is actually a transfer decal and not a sticker. For the transfer format covered by the Strike Noir instructions, replace the carrier and rub the untransferred area again. For a sticker, remove it carefully and realign it rather than rubbing the surface as if it were a dry transfer.
You lose a small part
Stop moving the rest of the kit, check the work surface and tray, and return to the last manual step to identify the part number. Keeping unused runners until the end makes it easier to confirm whether the piece was cut at all.
How to compare another Strike kit with the ENTRY GRADE version
When deciding between Strike-named products, compare documented attributes instead of the name alone.
- Grade and scale: record the exact scale and grade printed on each box.
- Edition or version: note whether it is a standard package, Lite Package or another release.
- Equipment: list the weapons, backpack parts and effect pieces shown for that specific product.
- Markings: confirm whether the package contains stickers, transfer decals or another sheet.
- Tools: read the manual to distinguish required equipment from tools that are merely useful.
Current price and stock are not established here; check a retailer at the time of purchase and match the listing to the exact product code.
Safety and age labeling
Age statements belong to individual products. Bandai’s Strike Noir manual states, “This product is for 15 years old and up. Not suitable for children under this age.” That wording applies to Strike Noir and should not be transferred to the ENTRY GRADE Strike Gundam without the age statement from its own packaging or manual. Follow the label supplied with your kit and supervise younger builders around small parts and cutting tools.
Final inspection and display
After the last assembly step, compare the completed model with the manual’s front and rear views. Check that armor panels are seated, both sides are mirrored correctly, the backpack and weapons are secure, and every marking is in the intended position. Keep the manual and spare runners with the finished model so you can identify parts later. If you build another Strike edition, start this same verification process again rather than reusing assumptions from the ENTRY GRADE 2582155 kit.
