You can turn a CSV of website URLs into screenshot files without writing code by importing the rows into a spreadsheet, triggering an automation for each row, sending its URL to a screenshot action, and routing the returned image or file reference to storage. If you already have a complete list and want a batch job instead, use a service that accepts a CSV or JSON list. Test a handful of URLs before processing the full file: integrations document available steps, but they do not guarantee that every site will load or save correctly.
Choose between a row-by-row workflow and a batch
Use a row-triggered automation when URLs arrive over time or you want to process new spreadsheet entries as they are added. Use a bulk-list service when you already have a CSV and want to submit a batch. These are different workflows: one watches for new rows; the other starts from a submitted list.

The steps below show the row-driven route because it makes the URL-to-capture-to-destination flow explicit. If you choose a bulk service, confirm its current input format, usage limits, output retention, and storage handoff before submitting a large list.

Keep a stable row identifier if you need to match results to the source list. Add a status column if you plan to write outcomes back after the capture.

Import the CSV into a spreadsheet supported by your automation. Check for blank rows, malformed URLs, accidental spaces, and duplicate entries before enabling a trigger.

Decide whether you need a full-page image or only the initial viewport. Choose the image format and width based on the downstream use, such as visual review, archiving, or a report.

Build the row-triggered automation

In Zapier, create a Zap and choose Google Sheets as the trigger app. Select New Spreadsheet Row, then connect the spreadsheet and worksheet containing the imported URLs.

Test the trigger and confirm that the sample record contains the intended URL field. If the field is blank or mapped to the wrong column, fix the sheet or trigger before adding capture steps.

Add GetScreenshot as the action app and select Take Website Screenshot. Map the spreadsheet’s URL value to the action’s required website URL input.

Configure the available capture settings: full-page capture if the whole page matters, width for the desired rendering size, additional wait for pages that need time to settle, and optional PDF output if your next step needs a document rather than an image. A viewport capture may produce a smaller, more focused result than a full-page capture.

Add a destination action to store or share the result, or write a status back to the spreadsheet. The integration page says a capture can be passed to a following action, but it does not specify one universal output field for every destination. In the live action setup, inspect the returned fields and map the actual file or reference accepted by your selected destination.

Run a test and open the saved output. Confirm that the destination received a usable image or document—not just a text value or an inaccessible reference—before turning on the Zap.
Zapier’s cited integration page says that Zaps with three or more steps require a Starter plan. A workflow with a row trigger, screenshot action, and separate storage or logging action may therefore need that plan under the terms stated on that page. Validate a small sample before processing the whole list
Try several representative rows before processing at scale. Include ordinary pages and at least one page that is slow or long, and compare the output with what you intended to capture.

- Trigger behavior: verify that each new row starts one run and that existing rows are not unexpectedly replayed.
- URL mapping: check that the screenshot action receives the URL from the correct column.
- Capture result: inspect whether the page rendered, whether full-page or viewport output matches your need, and whether the wait setting is sufficient.
- Destination: open the saved file or link using the same account or workflow that will consume it.
- Failure handling: determine how the workflow reports invalid URLs, redirects, login-gated pages, slow loads, or blocked sites; do not assume these cases succeed or are handled automatically.
Batch CSV and JSON alternatives
If the complete URL list is already assembled, a bulk submission can be more natural than creating a trigger for every row. Browse AI is another adjacent option if the job includes discovering URLs through scraping or sitemap extraction, rather than only capturing a list you already have. Handle privacy, access, and operational limits
A screenshot workflow sends URLs to external automation and capture services. Before submitting confidential URLs or pages that require authentication, check each provider’s current security, access, and retention terms. No automation run starts for a row
Confirm the correct spreadsheet and worksheet are selected, the trigger test can see a populated sample, and the row is being added in a way the trigger detects. Remove blank rows or correct the URL column header and retest.

Reopen the action’s field mapping and select the URL value from the trigger record, not a similarly named identifier or status field. Test with one known public URL and inspect the action input.
The page is blank, incomplete, or still loading
Check whether the URL redirects or requires sign-in, then try the available additional-wait setting. Use full-page capture only when you need the entire document; for pages with delayed content, test the capture on the specific site rather than assuming a wait value works everywhere.
The destination contains a link or text instead of the image
Inspect the fields returned by the screenshot action and map the output type your destination accepts. Some destinations need a file object, while others can accept a hosted reference; the integration listing does not define a universal mapping.

The Zap cannot be published with all steps
Check Zapier’s current plan rules. The cited GetScreenshot integration page states that three-or-more-step Zaps need a Starter plan, a possible issue when adding a separate storage or logging action.
