Use Marvel Rivals’ in-game support path first: from the lobby, press ESC (or open Settings), choose Customer Support, then select Appeal Ban. Explain that the sanction concerns text or voice chat, include your UID and the exact notice, and attach concise, unedited evidence. The official FAQ documents this route for banned accounts, but it does not publish a separate chat-only appeal form or a guaranteed response time.
If you cannot reach the form, contact Marvel Rivals Support through the official Marvel Rivals Discord. The current moderation policy allows warnings, mutes, matchmaking restrictions and long-term account bans; chat or voice sanctions can last up to 365 days, depending on severity and history.

What to do first
Do not create another account, use someone else’s account, or send repeated reports while your case is pending. Ban evasion can create a separate enforcement issue, and multiple submissions can make the facts harder to follow. Save the suspension notice and gather your account details before opening a case.

How to submit an appeal in the game client
- Open Marvel Rivals and enter the main lobby.
- Press ESC, or select the Settings button.
- Choose Customer Support.
- Select Appeal Ban.
- Describe the chat or voice-chat suspension, enter your identifying details, and submit the case.
The FAQ labels this function “Appeal Ban” and describes it for a banned account. It does not document a different button for a text-chat mute, voice-chat suspension or other speech-only penalty. If the button is available for your account, use it and state the exact communication sanction in the first sentence so support can route the case correctly.
If “Appeal Ban” is missing
UI labels and account access can change. Check that you are in the main lobby rather than a loading screen, restart the client once, and look under both Settings and Customer Support. Do not repeatedly reinstall the game or alter account files; those steps do not create an appeal record. If the option remains unavailable, use the official Discord route and explain that the in-game form could not be reached.
How to appeal through the official Discord
Join the official Marvel Rivals Discord and use the member list to contact Marvel Rivals Support directly, as described in the FAQ. Include the same identifying information and evidence you would have entered in the client. The FAQ also describes an Anti-cheat Bot route for account-ban cases. That bot reference is not a promise that it handles every chat-only or voice-only suspension, so identify the communication penalty clearly and follow the instructions shown by the support staff.
Never post your UID, recordings or personal information in a public channel. Send details only through the support contact or ticket method designated by the official server. Discord availability, staffing and channel names can change, so follow the server’s current instructions rather than an old screenshot or third-party guide.

What a persuasive appeal contains
Support needs to identify the account, locate the enforcement event and understand your position without reconstructing the story from several messages. A useful appeal is chronological, specific and short enough to read in one pass.
Subject line
Use a neutral subject such as “Appeal of voice-chat suspension — UID 123456789”. Replace the example number with your actual UID. For text chat, use “text-chat suspension” instead of “voice-chat suspension.”
Opening identification
State your UID or Game ID, platform, in-game name, date you received the notice and the stated duration. Quote the exact reason shown in the client rather than paraphrasing it. If the notice does not specify a duration, say that it is not displayed.

Give the approximate time, region or time zone if known, match or mode, and the short sequence of events that matters. For voice cases, describe the words you actually used. For text cases, quote the relevant messages exactly when possible. Do not replace a quote with a broad claim such as “I was only joking”; explain the surrounding exchange and why the classifier or report may have misunderstood it.

The requested action
Ask support to review the sanction and the underlying chat log, transcription or recording where available. Phrase this as a request, not as a claim that a human has already reviewed the case. If you acknowledge a mistake, ask whether the penalty can be reduced after the suspension period or converted to a lesser action. If you believe the detection was wrong, explain the specific words and context that support your position.
Current rules for text and voice chat
Marvel Rivals’ Text and Voice Chat Moderation Guidelines, dated October 10, 2026, apply to both text and voice communications. The policy lists these prohibited categories:
- Insults, threats and harassment
- Highly offensive remarks, discrimination and hate speech
- Verbal abuse directed at another player’s performance
- Doxing or disclosure of personal information
- Violent threats
- Encouragement of self-harm or suicide
- Terrorism or extremist content
- Illegal activities or drugs
- Pornography or sexual harassment
- Spam and advertising
- Promotion of boosting or real-money trading
- Encouragement to violate game rules
The policy says detection combines automated systems, player reports and manual review. Text is analyzed in real time for semantics and context. Voice channels are automatically checked for prohibited speech. Every flagged report enters the moderation workflow and is manually reviewed, according to the policy. A 2025 community-management announcement likewise described automated voice moderation with human oversight and review of ambiguous cases.
How penalties escalate
The stated penalty ladder is:

Chat and voice bans can last up to 365 days. The maximum is not an automatic term: the policy says penalties escalate with the severity and frequency of conduct. A long-term account suspension can prevent login. On October 16, 2026, NetEase stated that verified offenses receive disciplinary action based on the nature, severity and historical record of the violation, with severe or repeated offenses receiving significantly harsher penalties.

Choose the right argument for your situation
You believe the detection or report was wrong
Describe the exact language, speaker and timing. Explain whether a quoted phrase was part of a different sentence, a game term, a quotation or a conversation directed at another subject. Attach the complete clip or screenshot rather than a cropped fragment. Ask support to compare your evidence with the underlying log or recording.
You used language that violated the rules
Do not deny a statement that your own recording confirms. Acknowledge the conduct, state that you understand the rule, and ask whether the penalty can be reduced or whether a shorter restriction is available after the current term. An admission does not guarantee a reduction, but it gives support a clear and credible request.
You were falsely reported
A player report is one input to the moderation workflow, not proof that the reporter is correct. Focus on the disputed words and context instead of accusing the other player of abuse. Do not file a retaliatory report or ask support to punish the reporter unless you have a separate, specific violation to document.

State your language, microphone conditions and the words you intended to say. Explain any likely transcription problem, but avoid asserting that an automated system definitely made the decision. Request review of the original recording or available moderation log.
Evidence: what helps and what can hurt
Evidence should make the disputed event easier to verify. Include the match identifier or timestamp when your clip shows it. Keep the original file, preserve audio and video together, and avoid adding captions that could be mistaken for original chat. If a screenshot omits the preceding messages, provide the surrounding exchange as a second image or explain the omission.
- Useful: the full exchange, visible timestamps, the suspension notice, match details and an unedited voice clip.
- Weak: a cropped insult without context, a paraphrase of what you supposedly said, or a clip recorded long after the match.
- Risky: edited audio, altered screenshots, personal information about another player, or files containing unrelated private material.
Only send material relevant to the case. Support can decide which account records are available; players should not claim that a recording, transcript or report was reviewed unless support confirms it.

What happens after submission
Save the case number, confirmation message or Discord thread. If support asks for clarification, answer in one consolidated reply and keep the original timeline. Do not open several new tickets for the same event unless support instructs you to do so.

Common mistakes that weaken an appeal
- Using the wrong route: sending a chat-only complaint to a public Discord channel instead of contacting Marvel Rivals Support privately.
- Leaving out the UID: a display name alone may not identify the correct account.
- Arguing about unrelated matches: keep the case tied to the notice you received.
- Submitting an emotional accusation: insults toward moderators or the reporting player do not establish that the sanction was wrong.
- Changing your story: quote the same words and timeline in every follow-up.
- Editing evidence: altered audio or screenshots can make authentic context difficult to assess.
- Expecting an instant reversal: no official response-time or outcome guarantee is published.

When the penalty is close to expiring
An appeal can still be useful if the restriction is nearly over, particularly when you want the account record corrected or need an explanation of the rule. State that the suspension is near its end and ask support to confirm whether any additional restriction remains. Do not assume that silence means the action was reversed; check the account status in the client or the support response.
Keeping the rules current
Marvel Rivals can change menu labels, Discord staffing and enforcement rules. The dates above describe the policy and announcements available on October 10 and October 16, 2026. Before submitting a future case, read the current in-game notice and the latest official moderation guidance, because a later policy may alter penalty ranges or contact instructions.
