How to Annotate a Full-Page Screenshot in GoFullPage

Capture a scrolling page with GoFullPage, annotate it in the premium editor, and export the finished image as PNG, JPEG, or PDF.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To annotate a full-page screenshot in GoFullPage, capture the page, open the result in GoFullPage’s premium editor, add your marks, then download the edited image. GoFullPage identifies crop and annotation as premium-editor features, and its FAQ says downloading an edited result requires a premium trial. The precise editor controls may vary; the current official materials do not provide a complete click-by-click guide.

Capture the full page

  1. Open the page you want to capture in your browser.
  2. Start GoFullPage by selecting its extension icon, or use Alt+Shift+P.
  3. Wait while the extension scrolls through the page and assembles the visible sections. The completed capture opens in a new tab. GoFullPage’s Chrome Web Store listing explains the capture process and notes that exceptionally large captures can be split into separate images if Chrome cannot store the full image as one file: GoFullPage’s Chrome Web Store listing.

Open the editor and annotate

  1. From the completed capture, choose the editor action to open the image in GoFullPage’s premium editor.
  2. Add your notes or other desired annotations, then inspect the full-length image to make sure each mark points to the intended page content. The official product information confirms annotation capability, but does not establish a current toolbar layout or a definitive list of markup tools; follow the controls displayed in your editor rather than relying on an assumed button name.
  3. If you need to trim the image, use the editor’s crop feature before exporting. Cropping and annotation are described as premium-editor features in the extension listing.

The official FAQ says editing and downloading the edited result require a premium trial. GoFullPage’s official FAQ is at gofullpage.com/faq. Confirm the current trial terms in the extension or on GoFullPage’s site before starting; a current price is not established here.

Export the annotated screenshot

GoFullPage’s listing names PNG, JPEG, and PDF export. Select the format that fits your use: PNG is a practical choice when you want to retain crisp interface text, JPEG when a smaller image is more important, and PDF when you want a document-style file. PDF paper sizes can be configured in the extension options. The edited-image download is subject to the premium-trial requirement described above.

If the capture or export does not work

  • The page capture is split into multiple images: GoFullPage says this can happen when Chrome cannot store a very large full-page capture as one image. Treat the output as multiple parts rather than assuming annotation will create a single continuous file.
  • You cannot edit or download the annotated result: Check whether the premium trial is active. GoFullPage’s FAQ identifies a premium trial as necessary for editing and downloading an edited image.
  • The extension is missing or unavailable: Use GoFullPage’s official store links, not an unofficial download. The publisher announced on September 14, 2026 that the official extension had returned to the Chrome Web Store and was available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox: GoFullPage availability announcement.
  • The editor controls differ from instructions you found elsewhere: Use the controls shown in your current editor. GoFullPage’s official materials confirm annotation but do not provide a complete current editor walkthrough.

Or skip the browser setup

If you need a screenshot rather than GoFullPage’s in-browser editing workflow, ScreenshotNeo can return a screenshot with one GET request. For example, this cURL command saves a WebP capture of the target page:
