If a GoFullPage screenshot looks blurry in its result tab, click the image first: the preview may simply be zoomed out. GoFullPage says the downloaded image is full resolution, so inspect the downloaded file at full size before assuming the capture lost detail. For exceptionally long pages, the extension may split the capture into multiple images; its FAQ documents a “full image” PDF setting as a way to export the capture on one PDF page.
Why does a GoFullPage screenshot look blurry?
The result tab initially displays the screenshot zoomed out. That can make text and details look soft or small even when the image file contains the full-resolution capture. GoFullPage’s FAQ says to click the image to toggle its displayed zoom, and says downloading provides the full-resolution image. GoFullPage FAQ

How to check the actual screenshot resolution
- When the capture opens in a new tab, click the image to toggle its display zoom.
- Download the image and open the downloaded file in an image viewer. Inspect it at full size rather than judging it only from a zoomed-out preview.
- If the downloaded file still looks blurry at full size, treat that as a capture-quality issue rather than a preview-scale issue; the reviewed GoFullPage documentation does not give a universal resolution control or fix for it.
What to do with very long or split captures
GoFullPage captures a page by scrolling through its visible parts and assembling them. Extremely large pages can produce multiple images, and the FAQ warns that captures producing ten or more images may not complete. This is a different problem from a zoomed-out preview: check whether the output has been split or whether the capture failed before assessing sharpness.
Export a very long capture as one PDF page
GoFullPage’s FAQ describes a PDF export workaround: set PDF Size to “full image” to keep the capture on one PDF page. This changes the export layout; it is not documented as a way to add detail to a genuinely blurry downloaded image. See GoFullPage’s FAQ

Troubleshooting persistent blur
- Only the result tab looks unclear: click the image to toggle its zoom, then compare the downloaded file at full size.
- The page is exceptionally long: check for multiple output images or an incomplete capture; consider the documented “full image” PDF export.
- The extension may be out of date: check the Chrome Web Store listing for the current version and update information. The listing’s version and update date change over time, and updating is not guaranteed to fix every blur issue. GoFullPage in the Chrome Web Store
- The downloaded file remains blurry at full size: the reviewed official sources do not establish a general fix or image-quality setting for this case. Use the support option described in the Chrome Web Store listing and include the page URL, capture result, and whether the blur appears in the downloaded file.
Changing monitor resolution or operating-system display scaling is not documented as a way to restore detail already missing from a captured image.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need a screenshot through an API rather than a browser extension, ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. One GET request can return an image or PDF; its capture process accepts cookie or consent banners and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before the shot, with each step configurable. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed, and response headers identify the page verdict and billing status. Its MCP server provides screenshot tools for AI agents.
