To move sound toward the left or right on an iPhone, open Settings > Accessibility > Audio & Visual and drag the Balance slider. Apple documents this route in its iOS 26 iPhone User Guide.
Adjust iPhone audio balance
- Open Settings.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Tap Audio & Visual.
- Under the audio controls, drag Balance toward the left or right as needed. Apple describes this as the stereo audio balance control in its iOS 26 iPhone User Guide.
Balance and Mono Audio do different things
Use Balance when you want stereo sound to favor one side. Mono Audio is a separate setting: when enabled, the left and right speakers play the same content. It combines the channels rather than shifting sound toward one side. Apple lists both options among iPhone audio accessibility features in its hearing accessibility guide.
