To install ZomBerry Admin Tools, put both @CF (Community Framework) and @ZomBerry Admin Tools in the DayZ server directory, enable both in the server’s -mod parameter, copy their signing keys into the server Keys folder, start the server once, and then add administrator Steam64 UIDs to <ServerProfilesFolder>ZomBerryadmins.cfg. What ZomBerry Admin Tools requires
ZomBerry is a server-administration mod for DayZ. It does not run by itself: Community Framework (CF) is a required dependency and must be installed, enabled, and signed alongside ZomBerry.

- File access: you need to reach the server root, its

Install the same mod release that is compatible with the DayZ version running on your server. The project describes itself as being in an early testing stage, so test on a private instance before changing a busy public server.
Self-hosted installation: complete procedure
1. Subscribe to both Workshop items
Using the Steam account that manages your DayZ files, subscribe to Community Framework (item 1559212036) and ZomBerry Admin Tools (item 1582756848). Start the DayZ Launcher once after subscribing. This lets Steam download or update the Workshop content and initializes the folders you will copy.

Do not assume that installing a mod on your gaming PC automatically installs it on the dedicated server. The server needs its own copies of both mod directories.
2. Copy the two mod folders to the server
Locate the Workshop folders after the launcher has completed its update. Copy, rather than move, these two directories:
@CF@ZomBerry Admin Tools
Paste them into the DayZ server root, normally the directory containing the server executable and commonly named DayZServer. Keeping the original client copies allows Steam to update them later without removing the files you need for the server.
The resulting layout should resemble:

3. Enable both mods in the launch command
Add both folder names to the server’s -mod launch parameter. The documented form is:

-mod=@CF;@ZomBerry Admin Tools;On Windows this may be in a batch file, a shortcut, a control-panel launch-parameter field, or a configuration file used by your startup script. Preserve the semicolon separators and the spaces in the ZomBerry folder name. If your startup method already contains other mods, append these names to the existing list rather than creating a second -mod parameter.

For example, a command with another mod might look like:
DayZServer_x64.exe -config=serverDZ.cfg -profiles=profiles -mod=@CF;@ZomBerry Admin Tools;@AnotherMod;-profiles=profiles is only an example location. Use the profiles path that your own server actually starts with; that path determines where ZomBerry creates its configuration.
4. Install the signing keys
DayZ checks a mod’s signature through a .bikey file in the server’s Keys directory. Copy—not cut—the following files:

Do not put the keys inside the individual mod folders on the server and expect the signature check to find them. The destination is the server-level Keys folder. If that folder does not exist, create it beside the server executable.

5. Start the server once before editing permissions
Launch the server with both mods enabled and allow it to finish startup. The first run generates the ZomBerry files and establishes the profile location. Stop the server cleanly after you see that startup has completed.
If you start with a -profiles=... argument, DayZ generates or uses that profiles directory. ZomBerry’s configuration will be below that location, not necessarily beside the server executable.
6. Add administrators to admins.cfg
Open:
<ServerProfilesFolder>ZomBerryadmins.cfgEnter one administrator’s Steam64 UID (also called a BIGUID in some server panels) on each line. Use the numeric UID only; do not add a display name, quotation marks, commas, or labels.
Example format:
76561198000000001
76561198000000002Replace the example numbers with the actual UIDs. Keep the file in the exact ZomBerry subfolder and retain the .cfg extension. If ZomBerry did not create the file, its installation mode can check whether admins.cfg exists, report the expected path, create the file in the proper location, and attempt to insert the authenticated administrator identity ID.
7. Restart and verify access
Save the file, start the server again, and connect with an account whose UID is listed. A restart is required after changing admins.cfg; editing the file while the server is running does not reliably reload permissions.

Check the server log for mod-loading or signature errors if the interface does not appear. Confirm that the server is loading both folders named in -mod, that the two keys are in the server-level Keys directory, and that the profiles path in the launch command is the one you edited.
Installing ZomBerry on a hosted DayZ server
A game-server provider normally hides the Windows directory structure, but the sequence is the same. You need three panel capabilities: a Workshop installer, a way to enable or append launch parameters, and a file manager or FTP account.
- Open the provider’s Workshop or mod installer.
- Install Workshop item

1582756848for ZomBerry Admin Tools. - Use the provider’s mod toggle, command-line manager, or startup-parameter editor to enable both installed mods. Some panels install a mod but do not activate it automatically.
- Start the server once and wait for the initial file generation to finish.
- Open the generated profiles directory with the panel’s file manager or FTP. Find
ZomBerryadmins.cfg. - Add one Steam64 UID per line, save the file, and restart the server.
Panel terminology varies. The profile directory may be shown as “Profiles,” “Server Profiles,” or a custom path configured in the command line. If the panel reports that no administrator is configured, inspect the actual -profiles value in the startup settings rather than guessing a location from the server root.
Finding and validating the correct profile path
ZomBerry reads the configuration from the profile location used by the running server process. A server can have several folders that look like profiles if you have changed startup scripts or moved an installation.
- Read the active startup command and locate
-profiles=.... - Resolve that path relative to the server’s working directory when it is not absolute.
- Inside that directory, look for
ZomBerryadmins.cfg. - Edit the file only after confirming that its timestamp changes when the server generates or updates it.
- Restart the same server instance whose launch command you inspected.
If no ZomBerry folder appears, first verify that the mod is in -mod and that the server completed a full startup. A folder copied to the wrong directory will not generate configuration files even if the client has the mod installed.
Troubleshooting common failures

When testing, change one variable at a time. First prove that the server starts with CF and ZomBerry. Then verify key files, then permissions. This isolates a launch problem from an authorization problem.

Updating without breaking the installation
Workshop mods and DayZ itself can update independently. Before updating, stop the server and keep a backup of the current @CF, @ZomBerry Admin Tools, Keys, and profiles directories. Update the Workshop content, copy the new mod folders into the server root, compare the current Keys contents with the keys supplied by the new mod versions, and start the server for a controlled test.
Do not treat the repository’s internal version string as proof of the current Workshop release. The source currently defines g_zbryVer = "0.6.4"; that is a repository snapshot and may not match the build delivered through Steam. Check the Workshop version and the DayZ game version immediately before deployment. The project’s README also describes ZomBerry as being in an early testing stage and asks issue reports to include the game version, so retain the exact DayZ and mod versions when diagnosing a failure.
Using Bohemia Interactive’s server-management script
For a Windows self-hosted setup, Bohemia Interactive documents Server_manager.ps1. The script can download SteamCMD, DayZ server data, and Workshop mod data, then start or stop the server with selected launch-parameter files. It can reduce manual copying and provide a repeatable update process.
Even with that tool, verify the same ZomBerry-specific requirements: CF and ZomBerry are selected for download, both are present in the generated server directory, their keys are in Keys, the launch-parameter file contains -mod=@CF;@ZomBerry Admin Tools;, and the profiles path points to the admins.cfg you edited.

Before choosing a provider, confirm that its panel accepts Workshop item IDs 1559212036 and 1582756848, allows both mods in the launch command, exposes the server-level Keys folder, and lets you edit the profile path containing admins.cfg. A provider that only offers a mod toggle but hides keys or profiles may not support this installation reliably.

What to do if the installation still fails
Return to a minimal test configuration containing only CF and ZomBerry. Remove unrelated mods temporarily, confirm the server starts, and then add other mods back one at a time. Preserve the startup command, profile path, key listing, and version numbers when collecting logs. That information identifies whether the failure is caused by dependency loading, signature validation, path selection, or administrator authorization.
