To put CDL matches in Google Calendar or Apple Calendar, use a public calendar URL from a provider you have independently verified, or create events manually from the official schedule. The official page remains the authority for fixtures, event stages, team filters and local start times.
What is currently possible
The Call of Duty League schedule page lets you select a season, narrow the view by stage or event and filter for a team. Match dates and times are shown in the viewer’s local time. In the page version checked for this guide, there was no ICS download, iCalendar link, webcal address or “Add to Calendar” control.

That distinction matters. Google Calendar’s From URL option and Apple Calendar’s subscription feature do not create a schedule from a normal web page. They require a calendar feed URL that returns a published ICS/iCalendar feed (often beginning with webcal:// or using an HTTPS calendar address). Do not paste the CDL schedule page’s ordinary webpage address into those fields and expect it to work.
You therefore have two dependable routes:
- Subscribe to a verified feed: best when a reputable calendar provider supplies a public ICS or webcal URL. Future changes can flow into your calendar.
- Enter selected matches manually: best when no verified feed is available, or when you only want particular teams, stages or matches.
The league’s 2027 announcement also cautions: “Dates and locations subject to change.” Treat any imported or manually entered event as a convenience, not a substitute for checking the official schedule before a Major or Championship Weekend.

Before you add anything
Choose the coverage you actually need
A full-league feed may include every match, while manual entry can be limited to one team or one stage. Decide whether you want the entire season, a specific Major, or only fixtures involving a particular team. This determines whether a subscription or filtered manual list is less work.
Confirm the source and format
- Use the official Call of Duty League schedule page to verify the event name, teams, date and time.
- If you find a third-party calendar, confirm that it offers a real public ICS/iCalendar or webcal URL rather than a link to a web page, PDF or image.
- Check whether the provider identifies its update policy and whether the feed covers the current season. A feed can be technically valid yet outdated.
- Do not publish or share a private account URL. A subscription link should be intentionally public and read-only.
Understand time zones
The official schedule displays match times in the viewer’s local time. Calendar applications also convert subscribed events according to the calendar’s time-zone settings. If you travel or change your device’s time zone, an event may appear at a different clock time even though it represents the same instant. Keep the event’s original venue or league time in the notes when entering matches manually so you can audit a surprising change.
Subscribe in Google Calendar with a public CDL feed
Google documents this workflow for the desktop website. Calendar subscriptions must be created in a computer web browser; the Google Calendar Android, iPhone and iPad apps do not provide the setup for a new URL subscription.

The official CDL schedule page, as currently rendered, does not expose such a URL, so do not invent one.
- On a computer, open Google Calendar in your web browser and sign in to the Google account that should contain the schedule.
- In the left-hand calendar list, locate Other calendars.
- Click the + (Add other calendars) control beside Other calendars.
- Select From URL.
- Paste the complete public calendar URL into the field. Preserve the address exactly; do not add quotation marks, spaces or tracking text.
- Click Add calendar.
After Google accepts the address, the new calendar appears under Other calendars. Open a match to inspect its title, start time and any description supplied by the feed. Google may take a while to refresh a subscription, and the refresh interval is controlled by Google rather than by a manual “sync now” button.

If Google rejects the address
- “Could not fetch URL” or a similar error: confirm that the link is publicly reachable without signing in and that it is an ICS/iCalendar feed, not the league’s HTML schedule page.
- The calendar is empty: the provider may have published no events for the selected season, may require a different feed URL, or may be returning an invalid file. Test the link with the provider’s own instructions.
- Events are shifted by an hour: inspect the time-zone settings in Google Calendar and compare one event with the local time shown on the official schedule. Daylight-saving changes can alter displayed clock times without changing the event’s instant.
- Old fixtures remain: Google displays what the feed last supplied. Check the provider’s update status and the official CDL page before deleting or recreating events.
Using the feed on a phone after desktop setup
Once the subscription exists in your Google account, the calendar can be viewed alongside your other calendars in the mobile app. The restriction applies to creating the new URL subscription, not to viewing an already-added calendar.
Subscribe in Apple Calendar with a public feed
Apple Calendar supports internet calendars and accounts, including iCloud and Google calendars. Menu names differ between macOS and iOS/iPadOS releases, so look for the command that adds a subscribed or internet calendar rather than relying on one exact label.
Mac workflow
- Copy the verified public ICS or webcal URL. A normal link to the CDL schedule page is not a subscription feed.
- Open the Calendar app on your Mac.
- Use the version-appropriate command for adding a subscribed or internet calendar. Depending on the macOS release, this may be labeled New Calendar Subscription, Add Calendar or a similar option in the File menu.
- Paste the public feed URL and continue.
- Choose a recognizable calendar name and color, then save or subscribe.
- Open several events and compare their dates and local times with the official CDL schedule.
iPhone or iPad
On iOS and iPadOS, use the Calendar app or the system account settings appropriate to your release and select the option for adding a subscribed calendar. Paste the same public ICS/webcal URL, then save it. Apple changes menu wording and placement across releases; if you cannot find a subscription command, consult the Calendar help for your exact operating-system version or add the subscription on a Mac using the same Apple account.

Apple subscription problems
- No subscription option appears: check that you are in Apple’s Calendar app or account settings, not merely viewing a web page in Safari.
- The URL will not save: verify that the provider supplied a public feed and that you copied the entire address. A feed that requires a login cannot be used as a public subscription.
- The calendar displays duplicate matches: look for an older subscription or manually created events and hide one calendar before removing anything.
- Times do not match the league page: compare the device’s time-zone setting, the calendar’s time zone and the local-time label on the official schedule.
Manual method when no verified feed exists
Manual entry is the reliable fallback and gives you precise control over coverage. It is practical because the official page can be filtered by season, stage and team.

- Open the official Call of Duty League schedule page.
- Select the season you want. Do not assume that a page opened in a new season is showing the season you followed previously.
- Choose the relevant stage or event, such as a Major window or Championship Weekend.
- Apply a team filter if you only follow one or a few teams. Leave the filter broad when you need the complete event slate.
- Record the match date and time exactly as displayed for your location, along with both team names and the stage or event name.
- Create a new event in Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. Use a title such as
Team A vs Team B — Major IIso the fixture is identifiable without opening the description. - Enter the displayed local start time and the best available duration. If the league does not state a reliable end time, use a short placeholder duration and adjust it later rather than presenting an invented finish time as official.
- Put the official match page or schedule reference in the event’s notes only when you have a genuine link from the league page. Do not fabricate a URL.
- Add an alert suited to your routine, such as a reminder before the broadcast. Alerts are personal settings and do not change the official fixture.
- Repeat for the selected matches, then review the calendar in week and month views for overlaps.
Make manual events easy to revise
Use one dedicated calendar named “CDL” or similar, and apply one color. This lets you hide all manually entered fixtures while checking a new schedule. Keep the stage in every title and note the date on which you last verified the event. If a match moves, edit the existing event instead of creating a second copy.

A feed is the lower-maintenance choice only when its source is trustworthy and current. Manual entry is preferable for a small watch list or when no provider can demonstrate a working, current feed.

Check before each major
Open the official schedule before relying on a reminder for a Major or Championship Weekend. Confirm the event stage, opponents and displayed local time. The league’s announcement explicitly says that dates and locations are subject to change, so an old calendar entry should not be treated as final simply because it was correct when created.

Recheck after a reported change
If the league or a team announces a postponement, compare that announcement with the schedule page before editing your calendar. Update the existing event’s date, time, title and notes. If the official page has not changed yet, leave the event marked for review rather than entering an unverified replacement.

Handle time-zone travel
When traveling, verify the device and calendar time-zone settings. A correctly stored event may display a different local clock time in another region. The official page’s local-time display is the reference for the location where you are viewing it, so record the time zone in the notes if you need a fixed reference for a broadcast.
Prevent duplicates
Do not subscribe to multiple feeds covering the same season unless you intentionally want redundancy. Hide one calendar at a time to identify duplicates, then remove the obsolete subscription or manually created copy. Keep one authoritative calendar visible when setting alerts.
Common mistakes and their fixes
Pasting the schedule webpage into “From URL”
Google’s field expects a calendar feed, not HTML. Return to the provider and request its public ICS/iCalendar or webcal address. If none exists, use manual entry.

Google documents URL-subscription creation for a computer browser. Complete the setup on the desktop website, then use the mobile app to view the resulting calendar.
Assuming Apple’s menu has one permanent name
Apple changes labels between macOS and iOS/iPadOS releases. Look for an option described as adding a subscribed or internet calendar and save a name and color after pasting the feed.
Trusting an unchanged old event
A calendar reminder is not proof that a fixture remains scheduled. Revisit the official page before the event, particularly when the league has warned that dates and locations can change.
Entering a guessed end time or link
Only include information shown by the official schedule or a verified provider. If no finish time is published, use a practical personal duration and label it as your own planning choice rather than an official match length.

A practical decision guide
- You have a verified public feed and want every fixture: subscribe on Google’s desktop website or in Apple Calendar, then check a few events against the official page.
- You follow one team or only selected stages: filter the official page and enter those matches manually to avoid a crowded calendar.
- You need the schedule on a phone today: manual events can be created immediately; a Google URL subscription still has to be established in a computer browser first.
- A provider’s feed is stale or unclear: stop relying on it and use the official schedule for manual updates until a current feed can be verified.
The dependable workflow is simple: use the official Call of Duty League schedule as the source of truth, subscribe only to a genuine public calendar feed, and otherwise enter filtered matches yourself. Check again before each major because the published windows are not guaranteed to remain unchanged.
