Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo add a graphic overlay to a live stream, add it as a source in your streaming software, then position and size it in the scene preview. In OBS Studio, use an Image source for a static logo, border, or label, and a Browser Source for web-based elements such as alerts or chat. Streamlabs Desktop also supports library overlays, imported overlay files, and manually assembled scenes.

There is no documented performance benchmark here showing that an Image source is always lighter or better than a Browser Source. Choose by the type of content and workflow you need.

Add a static graphic in OBS Studio
- Open the scene that should contain the graphic, or create a new scene for that layout. OBS scenes combine sources into a stream layout. OBS Sources Guide
- In the Sources panel, add an Image source and select your graphic file. OBS Image Sources can display an image or slideshow. OBS Sources Guide
- Select the image in the preview and adjust its size and position on the canvas. Place it so it frames the content rather than hiding gameplay, a camera view, captions, or important interface elements.
- If the graphic should appear only in some layouts, add it to those scenes. Preview the complete scene at your output canvas dimensions to check alignment and visibility before going live.
Add a browser-based overlay in OBS
A Browser Source embeds a web page in a scene. OBS describes it as a way to perform “all sorts of custom layout, image, video, and even audio tasks,” and its Sources Guide identifies alerts and chat boxes as common uses. OBS Browser Source; OBS Sources Guide

Add Streamlabs features to OBS
Streamlabs documents a plugin workflow for selecting an overlay from its overlay settings. Its quick-start guide lists Windows and OBS Studio 28.0.0 or later as requirements, and notes that some changes may require restarting OBS. Check Streamlabs’s current documentation before installing, because compatibility requirements and interface labels can change. Streamlabs plugin quick start
Fix common overlay problems
- The browser overlay is blank: Check that the URL is correct and available, then confirm the Browser Source has suitable width and height. Make sure the source is visible and not covered by another source in the scene. These checks follow the documented URL and source workflow; they are not a vendor guarantee. OBS Browser Source; Streamlabs overlay guide
- The graphic is missing in one scene: Check that the image or browser source was added to that scene, rather than only to another layout.
- The overlay is too large, small, or misplaced: Select it in the preview and adjust its size and position. For a Browser Source, check its configured width and height as well.
- A plugin change does not appear: Restart OBS if the change requires it, and check the plugin’s current compatibility requirements. Streamlabs plugin quick start
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a 24/7 YouTube channel built from uploaded videos, StreamNeo is a separate cloud-streaming option—not an overlay editor and not a way to go live from a camera. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. You can create and check your graphics in your streaming software before uploading the finished video.
