You currently cannot unlock a verified Rome map in Mini Motorways. The current official information reviewed from Dinosaur Polo Club does not list Rome as a playable city or provide a Rome-specific unlock path. If Rome is missing from your map list, that is not evidence that you have missed a score requirement. It means the map is not established as part of the official lineup at this time.
What the official information says about Rome
Dinosaur Polo Club’s published material does not substantiate a Rome map for Mini Motorways. There is no documented Rome entry, no official Rome challenge requirement and no developer-published sequence of achievements that unlocks Rome.

The clearest current indication comes from the developer’s 2026 city-selection activity. The May 2026 map vote named four candidate cities: Auckland, Lima, Singapore and Vienna. Rome was not among those candidates. A February 2026 roadmap also described four planned locations for 2026 without naming Rome. Those announcements do not prove that Rome can never be added, but they do mean that searches, videos or posts claiming a currently playable Rome map should be treated as unverified unless Dinosaur Polo Club later confirms it.

How to check the map list on your copy
The practical test is the map or city-selection screen in the game. The exact button wording can vary between Apple Arcade, Steam and Nintendo Switch, but the process is the same: open the game, reach the screen that lists cities, and inspect the maps marked as available on your profile.

- Launch Mini Motorways. Use the platform on which you own or access the game.
- Open the map or city-selection screen. Do not start a new run first; the city list is where the game shows the maps associated with your profile.
- Review the complete list. Scroll through every available and locked entry rather than relying on a search result or a video thumbnail.
- Select an unlocked map. A map that is available on your profile can be played immediately, including in Endless Mode.
- Check the map’s challenge or score information if you are pursuing Expert Mode. Those requirements apply to the selected map and do not add Rome to the list.
If Rome does not appear in that list, there is no documented in-game action that will reveal it. Repeating a map, reaching a higher score or buying another edition is not an established Rome unlock method.
How map progression actually works
The game’s published progression language connects new maps and achievements with mastery. In practical terms, that means the game can add or reveal maps through its own progression system when those maps are part of the game’s content. It does not mean that a player can unlock an unannounced city by meeting an undisclosed threshold.
Keep two separate questions apart:
- Is the map part of the content available to your profile? The map-selection screen answers this.
- Which modes are available for that map? Your map score and City Challenge results answer this.
Confusing those questions is the most common reason players assume a missing city is merely locked behind a score.

Endless Mode and Expert Mode requirements
Dinosaur Polo Club’s support FAQ gives specific requirements for Expert Mode. These thresholds apply only to a map that is already unlocked on your profile.

What a 1,000-point score does
A score of 1,000 or more on an already-unlocked map qualifies that map for its City Challenges. It does not unlock Rome, and it does not change the map roster.
What a 600-point City Challenge score does
After the map has qualified for City Challenges, a score of 600 or more in a City Challenge unlocks Expert Mode for that same map. This is a second-stage mode requirement, not a city-unlock code.
What Endless Mode does
Endless Mode is available immediately for a map that is already unlocked. Choosing Endless can give you a less constrained way to play that city, but it cannot make an absent Rome entry appear.
Why you may be seeing Rome claims online
A search result, short video or social post can use “Rome” in a way that does not demonstrate an official Mini Motorways map. It may show a concept, a fan-made image, an unrelated game, an old claim or a title that does not identify its source clearly. A screenshot alone also does not establish which platform, version or release date it represents.

Before treating a claim as playable content, check all of the following:
- The footage or article names Mini Motorways, not another game.
- The source identifies Dinosaur Polo Club or an official store/support announcement.
- The post has a publication date and is not presenting a concept or prediction as a release.
- The city appears in the game’s own map-selection screen rather than only in a thumbnail, mod listing or edited image.
- The claim specifies the platform and edition being shown.
Until those checks are satisfied, regard a Rome reference as unconfirmed rather than as a hidden unlock.
Where you can play Mini Motorways
Mini Motorways is officially available on Apple Arcade, Steam and Nintendo Switch. The map roster and mode rules described above concern the game’s official releases on those platforms.

If you are considering the Nintendo Switch edition specifically, verify the current store listing, region and edition before buying. The purchase gives you access to that edition of Mini Motorways; it is not advertised as a Rome-map unlock.

Troubleshooting when a map is missing
Rome is not listed at all
This is the expected result if you are looking for an unsubstantiated map. There is no official score threshold to enter, and there is no documented Rome code or menu sequence.
A different map is listed as locked
Use the game’s stated progression for that map. Build mastery on the maps you can select and consult the in-game requirements or official support information. Do not assume that the requirements for one city apply to every city.
You reached 1,000 points but still cannot find Rome
That result qualifies the map you played for City Challenges. It does not expand the city list. Check the same map’s challenge options instead of searching for a new city.

You saw Rome in a video or post
Check its date, platform, game title and source. Look for a matching announcement from Dinosaur Polo Club. Without that confirmation, do not assume the content is part of the current official release.
You bought the game expecting Rome
Buying or accessing an official edition does not, by itself, add a city that is absent from the published lineup. Use the map-selection screen to confirm what the edition actually contains.
How to verify a future Rome release
A later developer announcement could change the lineup. If Dinosaur Polo Club announces Rome, verify the announcement before following any purported unlock guide. A reliable announcement should identify the city, the game, the release or update date, and the platforms affected.
- Find the announcement from Dinosaur Polo Club. Prefer a developer news post, support entry or official store update.
- Confirm the release status. Distinguish a vote candidate, roadmap item or concept from a released map.
- Check platform scope. An update may not arrive simultaneously on Apple Arcade, Steam and Nintendo Switch.
- Read the stated unlock rules. If Rome requires mastery, the announcement or support documentation should explain which score or challenge applies.
- Update the game through the platform’s normal update process. Then reopen the map-selection screen and look for Rome in the profile’s list.
- Use the map-specific instructions. Once Rome is genuinely present, its own score and mode requirements—not assumptions from another city—will determine what you can play.

Bottom line for Rome players
The current official record supports playing the maps that appear in your Mini Motorways profile, not unlocking a hidden Rome map. Endless Mode is immediate on an unlocked map; Expert Mode follows the 1,000-point map score and 600-point City Challenge sequence. Rome was not named in the May 2026 city vote, and the February 2026 roadmap did not identify it among its four planned locations. Re-check Dinosaur Polo Club’s official announcements if a later update explicitly adds Rome.
