She describes the records as a way to stay focused, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions about marketing time. These are her reported experiences in a Clockify customer story, not independently measured results.
Her basic workflow: set a limit, start the timer, review the time
Charles says she decides how much time to spend on a project before starting. She then uses Clockify’s timer to mark when she begins and finishes, and checks the tracked time for individual projects. In the customer story, she explains: “One of the strategies that has helped me maintain focus and avoid wasting time is setting a time limit for each project before beginning my work.”

The intended benefit is practical: a target gives her a guide while she works, while the timer gives her a record to compare against that target. Charles says this helps her notice procrastination, stay on task, and put important work first. It is a self-management method she reports using; the story does not provide a controlled test of its effect on productivity.
How time tracking informs her marketing decisions
Charles says she analyzes time spent on social media strategy alongside how many prospective clients reach out and convert. She uses that view to think about the return from each marketing channel and where to allocate resources. Her account does not publish the underlying time, lead, or conversion data, nor an independently verified return-on-investment calculation. It therefore describes how she uses time as an input to marketing decisions, not proof that a particular channel produced a measured return.

Why she connects project limits with time off
Charles also says that having a clear timeline helps her complete work within set hours and spend time with her family without feeling guilty. That is her account of the role boundaries play in her work; a timer cannot by itself guarantee that projects will fit their estimates or remove work-related stress.
What the customer story does—and does not—establish
Clockify’s account presents Charles as a digital marketing expert running Float Digital and labels the company size as four employees. The page does not state when that headcount applied, so it should not be read as the agency’s current size. The account is vendor-published, and its descriptions of Charles’s workflow and results are her reported experience rather than an independent product evaluation.
Clockify’s separate product materials describe features including reports, billable and non-billable time, rates, project budgets, expenses, and invoicing. Those capabilities may be relevant to agencies, but their presence in Clockify’s product information does not show that Charles used each one. The customer story specifically supports her use of project time limits, the timer, and review of time spent.
