Plan for roughly 13 GB of free space to install House Flipper 2 on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo’s US eShop listing gives an estimated 13.1 GB, while Nintendo’s Canada, Mexico and Brazil storefronts display 12.7 GB. These are storefront estimates rather than a permanently fixed post-update size, so leave additional room and confirm the requirement in the eShop region attached to your Nintendo Account.
House Flipper 2 storage requirement at a glance
The game’s Nintendo Switch 2 listing is dated October 15, 2026 in the US storefront and identifies Frozen District as the publisher. Nintendo displays slightly different download estimates by country:

| eShop region | Displayed estimate | How to use the figure |
|---|---|---|
| United States | 13.1 GB | Use this as the US planning figure, with extra free space reserved for installation. |
| Canada | 12.7 GB | Regional storefront estimate; check the listing shown to your account before buying. |
| Mexico | 12.7 GB | Regional storefront estimate; it is not a universal immutable install size. |
| Brazil | 12.7 GB | Regional storefront estimate; Nintendo may revise displayed requirements. |
The practical takeaway is not that one region has a different game build. It is that the number shown by Nintendo can vary by storefront and can change as a listing is updated. Treat 13 GB as the planning scale, then add a cushion rather than filling storage right up to the displayed number.

Storefront figures can differ by country
Nintendo’s US page currently reports 13.1 GB, whereas the Canadian, Mexican and Brazilian pages report 12.7 GB. A difference of 0.4 GB is small in practical terms, but it matters if you are checking a nearly full console. The figure attached to your own eShop listing is the most relevant one because it reflects the storefront and product record you will actually use.
#1 Best Overall
- Nintendo Switch 2 uses a new standard of expandable memory card called microSD Express (sold separately). This kind of memory card is needed for faster access speeds and to ensure games will run smoothly.
- Please note: Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards. If the microSD cards you have used for Nintendo Switch do not support microSD Express standards, you cannot use them with Nintendo Switch 2.
The download figure is not a guaranteed lifetime footprint
Nintendo places a qualification beside digital product sizes: “More or less free space than is indicated here may be required in order to install products that have been downloaded to the console.” That warning means the displayed amount should not be interpreted as an exact amount of free space that will always be sufficient. Installation can require working room, and the installed software may receive updates or downloadable content later.
Nintendo Support likewise says storage requirements vary by game and directs buyers to the Nintendo eShop or the game’s physical packaging for the game-specific requirement. No official figure establishes a separate House Flipper 2 patch allowance or a precise headroom requirement, so any advice giving an exact extra number would be guesswork.
How to check whether House Flipper 2 will fit
Check the listing before you purchase
- Open Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch 2 using the Nintendo Account that will buy the game.
- Search for House Flipper 2 and open the Nintendo Switch 2 product page.
- Scroll to the storage or download-size information and note the number displayed for your region.
- Leave the listing open while you check the console’s available storage, because the estimate can be different from a page viewed in another country.
Check available console space
Open the Switch 2 storage-management screen in System Settings and view the free space reported for the console. Compare that number with the eShop estimate, but do not plan to consume every last gigabyte. For example, if your US listing shows 13.1 GB and the console reports 14 GB free, the arithmetic margin is only 0.9 GB. Nintendo’s installation warning makes that a risky situation even though 14 is numerically greater than 13.1.

If the console reports 20 GB free against a 13.1 GB estimate, the nominal difference is 6.9 GB. That is a more comfortable position for the initial installation, but it is still not a promise about future updates. Keep your free-space target comfortably above the listing rather than treating the estimate as a hard threshold.
Account for other software and captures
Free space shown by the console already reflects installed games, updates, downloadable content and saved media. Before starting the download, look for large software you no longer use and screenshots or video captures that can be archived elsewhere. Deleting software does not necessarily delete its save data, but you should verify the on-screen choices before confirming any deletion.
Do you need a microSD card for House Flipper 2?
You need additional storage only if the console’s available internal space is not comfortably above the eShop estimate or if you want room for other downloads. Nintendo Switch 2 expands storage with microSD Express cards. Nintendo’s support guidance states: “A microSD Express card can be used to save screenshots and software data, including downloaded software, software updates, and DLC.”

Note that actual usable storage may be slightly less due to system formatting and a portion reserved for card management functions, which is a standard industry practice to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Use the right card type
Do not assume that an ordinary microSD card is interchangeable with the format identified for Switch 2. Nintendo’s current guidance specifically identifies licensed microSD Express cards as compatible with the console. When shopping, verify that the product is labeled microSD Express and that it is licensed or otherwise confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 use. The evidence available for this game does not establish a particular brand, speed rating, capacity, price or benchmark, so those details should not be treated as House Flipper 2 requirements.
Choose capacity from your own library
The correct card size depends on more than this one game. Start with the House Flipper 2 estimate, add the other downloaded software and updates you expect to keep, include space for screenshots and video, and then retain installation headroom. A card that barely exceeds the game’s displayed figure may work for this title but leave no practical room for another download.
Because Nintendo does not publish a game-specific headroom number for House Flipper 2, choose a card with materially more usable capacity than your immediate total rather than calculating to the last megabyte. Check the card’s usable capacity after formatting and confirm that the console recognizes it before moving software.

Installing the digital version step by step
- Confirm the region’s estimate. Reopen the House Flipper 2 listing and record the current number shown by your eShop.
- Prepare free space. Ensure the console has room above that estimate. If it does not, archive or delete unused software, move captures off the system, or install a compatible microSD Express card.
- Start the purchase or download. Follow the eShop prompts and select the Nintendo Switch 2 version shown on the product page.
- Keep the console powered. Avoid interrupting the download or removing the microSD Express card while software is being installed.
- Let installation finish. The displayed download amount and the temporary working space needed during installation are not necessarily identical. Wait for the eShop or Home menu to report completion.
- Apply available updates. If the system offers an update after the base download, install it only after confirming that adequate free space remains.
- Launch and verify. Start the game once, then return to storage management if you need to see how much space remains after installation.
Downloading while another large title is updating can consume space unexpectedly. If the installation stops, check free space again after the other download has finished or been paused.

The 13.1 GB US and 12.7 GB regional figures describe the estimates shown on Nintendo’s product pages; they do not include an official forecast for every future patch or downloadable-content package. Nintendo explicitly includes software updates and DLC within the data that a microSD Express card can store. Leave room for those additions if you plan to keep House Flipper 2 installed for a long time.
There is no official source establishing a separate physical-card installation requirement, a guaranteed final size after updates, or a fixed amount of free headroom for this title. If Nintendo changes the listing, use the newer figure displayed in your own eShop rather than relying on an older screenshot or a number copied from another country.

Troubleshooting an insufficient-space message
The console says there is not enough space before downloading
- Recheck the current eShop estimate; it may not match a figure you saw in another region.
- Open storage management and identify large software, updates or captures that can be archived or removed.
- Install a compatible microSD Express card, then retry the download after the console recognizes it.
- Do not count a card’s advertised capacity as entirely usable; formatting and system data consume part of it.
The download fits but installation fails
A download that appears to fit can still fail if installation needs temporary working space. Free more room than the displayed estimate, restart the download and allow the process to complete without switching storage media. If another title is updating simultaneously, pause that activity first.
An update fails after the game is installed
Check free space again rather than assuming the original installation amount is still sufficient. Updates and DLC are additional software data. If internal storage is tight, move compatible data to microSD Express storage or create more free space before retrying.
A practical decision checklist
- Buying in the United States: plan around the listed 13.1 GB, plus a cushion.
- Buying in Canada, Mexico or Brazil: plan around the listed 12.7 GB, plus a cushion.
- Using another region: rely on the estimate shown by that region’s Nintendo eShop; the figures above are not universal.
- Have less free space than the estimate: clear storage or add a licensed microSD Express card before installing.
- Have only a tiny margin above the estimate: free more space because Nintendo warns that installation may require more than the displayed amount.
- Planning updates, DLC or a large library: select expandable storage based on your total future use, not House Flipper 2 alone.
For most buyers, the safe answer is simple: reserve around 13 GB, verify the number in your own storefront, and keep additional room available. Use microSD Express when internal storage cannot provide that margin or when you want a larger library on the console.
