Why Kingdom Hearts size estimates differ
The roundup reports 54.2 GB for KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix on both systems. Nintendo Canada’s listing gives a different Switch 2 estimate: 53.8 GB, while its Switch estimate is 54.2 GB. The regional listing and platform therefore matter; use the figure shown on the store page for the exact version you plan to buy rather than treating one number as universal. Nintendo Canada’s listing identifies the Switch and Switch 2 editions separately and says there are currently no plans for a Switch-to-Switch-2 upgrade.

- New stages and fighters are joined by the combined rosters of every past Super Smash Bros. Game
- Challenge others anytime, anywhere, whether you're on the couch or on the go
- Play any way you want—locally, online, in TV mode, Tabletop mode, Handheld mode, or even with GameCube Controllers
- Fight faster and smarter with new and returning techniques, like the perfect shield and directional air dodge
- Face off in 2-4 player battles, or play against the computer
Nintendo describes the collection as six titles: KINGDOM HEARTS FINAL MIX, Re:Chain of Memories, KINGDOM HEARTS II FINAL MIX, HD cutscene compilations for 358/2 Days and Re:coded, and Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX. Its listing advises buyers to verify the platform and avoid duplicate purchases. Check the price shown for your region and any applicable discount for an existing cloud version on that same listing.

Planning storage on Switch and Switch 2
For Switch 2, Nintendo says “Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards.” Legacy Switch microSD cards cannot store or load digital games on Switch 2. Nintendo says Switch 2 supports microSD Express cards up to 2 TB for downloaded software, updates, and DLC; game save data remains in system memory. Nintendo’s microSD Express Card FAQ has the compatibility details.

- Race from one course to another through interconnected paths that span the world
- Traverse mountains, forests, cities, and more—with shifting weather patterns and a day/night cycle
- Ride on rails, jump off walls, skim across water, and more as you race for the finish line
- Take on the adrenaline-packed Knockout Tour—a fierce 24-driver elimination mode
- Explore courses at your own pace and wander the world to discover fun surprises in Free Roam
An expansion card is optional, not a requirement for any specific game: Nintendo says no individual Switch 2 game currently requires additional storage to play. A physical Game-Key Card is not a way around the download, either. Nintendo explains that it acts as a key and the game data must be downloaded, so its storage needs still count. See Nintendo’s Switch 2 Data Management FAQ.
Quick Recap
Rank #4
- Journey through space in two Super Mario adventures, now improved for the Nintendo Switch system!
- Travel the stars with enhanced resolution, improved UI, and additional content
- Learn more about the Lumas from additional Storybook chapters, groove to a bit of additional music
- Get additional Health and fall recovery in Assist Mode
- Join Rosalina and the Lumas to restore the Comet Observatory and rescue Princess Peach in Super Mario Galaxy.
- Check the free space on the console or compatible card against the estimate on your regional game listing.
- If you use a card with Switch 2, verify that it is microSD Express and that its capacity suits your library; ordinary Switch microSD cards cannot hold Switch 2 game downloads.
- Leave room for updates and DLC rather than planning around a listing estimate as an exact, permanent installed size.
- Consider whether you want several large games installed at once. Deleting software and redownloading it later is an option, but requires another download.
