Epoch Operation: Taubound lasts one month, from October 15 through November 17, 2026. It is a one-time Warframe community operation: once the closing deadline passes, Digital Extremes says the operation will not return. Praghasa’s Taubound dialogue and its reward track therefore have to be completed while the event is active.
The related Tau Prologue Quest is different. It is a permanent Codex quest, although it has its own prerequisites. Ending Taubound removes the limited operation content, not the prologue quest.

What Taubound is
Taubound is a limited community operation centered on the Sentient Mothership Praghasa. During the operation, Tenno run mission nodes across Eris, collect a resource called Moonflesh, and exchange it with Praghasa. The community activity also advances daily narrative updates, so the event is both a resource-farming activity and a time-limited story presentation.

Digital Extremes describes the operation as a one-time effort to help open a path toward the Tau System. The event’s activity takes place on the Eris Star Chart rather than in a separate permanent game mode. You use normal mission completion as the main way to earn Moonflesh, then spend the accumulated resource in Praghasa’s event interface.

How the event works while it is live
Earn Moonflesh on Eris
Completing missions on Eris awards fixed amounts of Moonflesh. The amount is determined by the mission rather than by an unrestricted random payout, making a regular route through available Eris nodes a dependable way to build your balance.
Rotating Tactical Alerts can increase the rate at which you accumulate Moonflesh. Infested enemies on Eris can also occasionally drop the resource, so a mission may yield additional Moonflesh beyond its fixed completion reward. These enemy drops are supplementary; the guaranteed mission rewards remain the core of the event loop.
Trade the resource with Praghasa
Take your Moonflesh to Praghasa and exchange it for items in the event reward track. The track includes a mixture of cosmetics, equipment-related items and progression resources. Representative rewards include the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp Skin, Dhampyre Syandana, the Honoria, a Legendary Core, weapons or blueprints, Arcanes, Kuva, Credits, Endo and Tauforged Archon Shards.
Because some rewards are permanent account items and others are consumable or progression resources, decide what you value before spending Moonflesh. Cosmetics are generally the most visibly event-specific prizes, while resources such as Kuva, Endo or Arcanes may be more useful for a particular build. The exact cost of each item is shown in Praghasa’s interface; do not assume that every reward requires the same amount.
Follow the daily narrative
Praghasa provides daily narrative updates during the operation. These scenes are part of Taubound’s limited presentation and are not simply a replayable version of the Tau Prologue Quest. If you want to see the operation’s dialogue in its intended sequence, visit Praghasa regularly rather than waiting until the final day.

Deadline and what it means
The published closing point is November 17, 2026. The announcement identifies the operation as lasting one month, and the event is available through that closing date according to Digital Extremes’ schedule. Treat the deadline as the end of the complete activity window: Moonflesh farming, Praghasa’s Taubound dialogue and the operation reward track all depend on the operation remaining active.
Digital Extremes explicitly states that there will be no reruns of Epoch Operation: Taubound. This is stronger than a normal seasonal rotation warning. There is no announced second cycle in which missed rewards can be reclaimed, and the operation should not be treated like content that will automatically return with a future update.
Can you still get Praghasa’s rewards after the operation closes?
No. The event reward track is tied to the active operation. You must earn Moonflesh and exchange it with Praghasa before the closing deadline. After the operation ends, the Taubound-specific track is no longer promised to be available, so an unspent Moonflesh balance or an unclaimed reward should not be considered recoverable.
The same deadline applies to Praghasa’s unique Taubound dialogue. The daily scenes belong to the operation rather than to the permanent quest content that remains afterward. Players who care about the story presentation should complete the conversations during the event, not rely on the later Codex quest as a substitute.
Who can participate, and what do you need?
Minimum event access
Any Tenno who has completed Vor’s Prize can access Eris for Taubound. During the operation, normal Star Chart and Junction requirements for reaching Eris are lifted. This is important for newer players: you do not need to unlock Eris through the usual Junction sequence before participating in the event.

Vor’s Prize is therefore the event’s practical entry requirement. A player who has completed that introductory quest can use the temporarily opened Eris access, run the available missions and begin collecting Moonflesh. The event does not require completion of the quests that gate the separate Tau Prologue Quest.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsSeparate requirements for the Tau Prologue Quest
The Tau Prologue Quest has different access rules. It requires completion of both The Hex and The Old Peace. Those quests are not required to harvest Moonflesh or claim Taubound rewards during the operation.
Keeping the requirements separate prevents a common misunderstanding: access to Eris for the limited operation does not mean that the permanent prologue is automatically unlocked. Conversely, failing to meet the prologue prerequisites does not stop an eligible player from taking part in Taubound while it is active.
Taubound and the Tau Prologue Quest compared
| Aspect | Epoch Operation: Taubound | Tau Prologue Quest |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Limited to the one-month operation window; it does not rerun. | Permanent addition to the Warframe Codex. |
| Main activity | Run Eris missions, collect Moonflesh and trade it with Praghasa. | Progress through a standalone quest in the Codex. |
| Story content | Praghasa’s daily Taubound dialogue and operation updates. | Separate prologue content connected to the Tau storyline. |
| Rewards | Event reward track with cosmetics, equipment-related items and resources such as the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp Skin, Dhampyre Syandana, Honoria, Legendary Core, Arcanes, Kuva, Credits, Endo and Tauforged Archon Shards. | Does not preserve Taubound’s reward track or its dialogue scenes. |
| Access requirement | Complete Vor’s Prize; temporary Eris access bypasses ordinary Star Chart and Junction requirements. | Complete The Hex and The Old Peace. |
What happens immediately after Taubound ends?
The operation content closes
When the operation window closes, the Moonflesh farming loop is no longer the active event activity. Praghasa’s Taubound reward interface and the associated event progression are not presented as permanent systems. The practical assumption should be that unclaimed event rewards and missed dialogue are lost unless Digital Extremes announces an exceptional change; no such rerun is part of the published plan.
The permanent quest remains
The Tau Prologue Quest stays in the Codex after Taubound ends. It is narratively connected to the operation and the path toward the Tau System, but it is not a back door to the event reward track. Completing the prologue later will not recreate the Moonflesh economy, Praghasa’s daily Taubound scenes or the operation-exclusive prizes.

If you have not completed The Hex and The Old Peace, the prologue will remain unavailable until those prerequisites are finished. That restriction continues after the operation and is independent of the temporary Eris access granted to Taubound participants.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to avoid missing limited content
- Confirm Vor’s Prize is complete. This is the requirement that enables event participation and temporary access to Eris.
- Open the Eris Star Chart. Use the event-period access rather than waiting to unlock Eris through every normal Junction requirement.
- Run Eris mission nodes. Mission completion supplies fixed Moonflesh amounts, while Infested enemy drops can add occasional extra resource.
- Check rotating Tactical Alerts. These alerts can improve Moonflesh accumulation and may be the most efficient option when available.
- Visit Praghasa frequently. Review the daily narrative updates and monitor the reward track instead of leaving all exchanges to the final hours.
- Spend Moonflesh before the closing deadline. An unspent balance is not a substitute for claiming the items you want while the operation interface is active.
- Review your quest prerequisites separately. If you want the permanent Tau Prologue Quest, plan to complete The Hex and The Old Peace; event participation does not complete those requirements for you.
Common mistakes and how to correct them
Waiting for a rerun
Taubound is not described as a recurring seasonal event. Digital Extremes’ explicit no-rerun statement means postponing participation carries a real risk: there is no scheduled second opportunity for the event dialogue or rewards. The correction is simple—treat the published closing date as final and prioritize the items you cannot replace elsewhere.
Assuming Eris access unlocks the prologue
The operation’s temporary Star Chart access exists to let eligible players farm Moonflesh. It does not waive The Hex and The Old Peace requirements for the Tau Prologue Quest. If the prologue is missing from your Codex, check those two quests rather than replaying Eris missions.
Saving all exchanges for the last day
Farming and spending are separate actions. A player can accumulate Moonflesh but still miss the reward track if the operation closes before the exchange is completed. Visit Praghasa during the active period, claim priority rewards as you qualify for them and leave enough time to resolve connection, mission or interface problems.

The Tau Prologue Quest is related story content, not an archive of Taubound. Its permanent availability protects access to the prologue itself; it does not preserve the operation’s daily dialogue sequence or reward shop.
Best Value
Planning priorities for different players
Newer players
Finish Vor’s Prize first, then use the temporary Eris access to participate. You do not need to rush through every normal Junction requirement for the event. Concentrate on learning the Moonflesh loop, checking Tactical Alerts and claiming a manageable selection of rewards before the deadline.
Established players
Track the reward costs in Praghasa’s interface and target the items that are hardest to replace, especially event-specific cosmetics and named rewards. Use Tactical Alerts when they fit your schedule, but do not assume that an alert will remain available long enough to compensate for a late start.
Story-focused players
Visit Praghasa throughout the operation so the daily updates are experienced as they appear. Also verify The Hex and The Old Peace completion if you intend to continue into the permanent Tau Prologue Quest after the operation has closed.

Taubound is a one-month, one-time operation running October 15–November 17, 2026. Farm Moonflesh on Eris, exchange it with Praghasa and complete the event dialogue before the deadline because the operation will not rerun. The Tau Prologue Quest survives permanently in the Codex, but it remains separate, requires The Hex and The Old Peace and does not restore Taubound’s rewards or dialogue.
