Gemini Live can help you create Google Keep notes and lists, add items to an existing list, and bring Keep content into a conversation—if Connected Apps support is available for your account. To use Gemini Apps for these Keep tasks, connect Google Workspace and make sure Keep Activity is on. Google says Live Connected Apps are rolling out gradually, so access is not universal.
What Gemini Live and Google Keep can do together
Google documents Gemini Apps as able to create and show notes and lists in Keep, add items to an existing list, and use Keep content during a conversation. You can ask Gemini to save useful conversation output or, for example, pull ingredients from a recipe and add them to a named list. The exact options depend on the account and feature available to you. Google’s Gemini Apps notes and lists guide describes the supported interactions.

For voice-first use, Gemini Live provides a conversational entry point when Keep is available as a Connected App. Rather than treating every Live session as able to write to Keep, first confirm that Connected Apps are available to your account and that Keep is listed.

Set up Keep access in Gemini
- Use the relevant Google account. Sign in to Gemini with the account whose Keep notes you want to access. For the documented interaction, Google says Workspace must be connected to Gemini Apps.
- Connect Google Workspace. In Gemini Apps, open Settings & help, choose Connected Apps, and connect Google Workspace if it is available. Labels or availability can vary as Google rolls out features. See Google’s Workspace connection instructions.
- Check Keep Activity. Keep Activity must be on for the Keep connection. Review the activity setting for the same account you use in Gemini; if it is off, Gemini’s Keep interaction will not work as documented.
- Check Live availability. Start or open a Gemini Live conversation and check whether Keep is available among Connected Apps. Google says support is being released gradually. For work or school accounts, Google currently lists only Calendar, Keep, and Tasks as available Connected Apps in Live chats. Google’s Gemini Live help page covers availability.
Ask Gemini to create, save, or update a Keep list
Create a note or list
In a Gemini conversation or Live session where Keep is available, state what you want saved and ask Gemini to create a note or list in Keep. Be specific about the title and whether you want a note or a checklist-style list. For example: “Create a Keep list called Weekend groceries and add the ingredients you mentioned.”

- Attention-grabbing design meets the latest evolution of the Google Pixel Camera on the new Google Pixel 11 Pro; Gemini Intelligence helps manage details so you can live in the moment[1]; and the phone is available in two sizes
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan: Works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers[2]
- Stay informed without looking at your screen: When your phone is face down, Pixel HiLight gently alerts you with subtle glowing lights when your favorite contacts are calling or you’re talking with Gemini; exclusive to Google Pixel 11 Pro phones
- Magic Capture catches the moment as you live it: With just one tap, Pixel 11 Pro captures video and photos, and automatically edits, crops, and unblurs a curated collection, ready to share – and you get the memory of how it felt to be in the moment
- Two new cameras for more brilliant photos: A larger telephoto sensor captures 30% more light for clear, beautiful photos and videos, even in the dark[3]; Pixel’s longest zoom ever helps you capture details from impressive distances[4]
Save useful conversation output
When Gemini has produced information you want to keep, ask it to save that response or the relevant details as a Keep note. Naming the note makes it easier to locate later. Check the resulting note rather than assuming that the full conversation, every detail, or your preferred formatting was saved.
Add items to an existing list
Refer to the list by its name and specify the items to add—for example, “Add rice and tomatoes to my Weekend groceries list.” If you have similarly named lists, clarify which one you mean. Then open Keep and confirm the items landed in the intended list.

Use Keep content in a conversation
You can ask Gemini to use relevant Keep content as context for a conversation, subject to the connected account and available features. Check important details against the original note, especially before relying on them for decisions; Google warns that Gemini can provide inaccurate or outdated information.

Gemini Live is not the same as Keep’s voice-note generator
Google also documents a separate feature inside the Keep app: generating notes with your voice on Android. You speak directly in Keep, can dictate notes, lists, ideas, or editing instructions, review the generated note, and tap Done to save it. This is distinct from asking Gemini Live to interact with Keep through Connected Apps.
| Option | Where you start | What Google documents | Availability and review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini Apps with Keep connected | Gemini conversation; Live when Keep Connected Apps are available | Create and show Keep notes or lists, add items to an existing list, and use Keep content in a conversation | Workspace connection and Keep Activity are required for the documented Keep interaction. Live Connected Apps are rolling out gradually; check the saved item in Keep. |
| Keep voice-note generation | Google Keep app on Android | Speak a note, list, idea, or editing command; review the result and tap Done | Google’s feature page lists Google AI Pro, Google AI Ultra, or Workspace Experiments for eligible personal accounts. Requirements for other AI-in-Keep features differ. See Google’s Android voice-note instructions. |
Google’s general Keep guidance separately names Google AI Pro, Google AI Ultra, or a Pixel mobile device for the AI-in-Keep features it describes. It specifies Android for list creation and Pixel or Android for title generation; those requirements should not be read as a single eligibility rule for all Gemini-and-Keep interactions. Check Google’s current feature guidance for the particular action you want.

Open the linked note or list after Gemini acts. This is especially important if Gemini Live is running in the background: Google says Gemini cannot undo a note created that way. If the saved content is wrong, edit or delete it directly in Keep. Google also documents actions its notes and lists integration cannot perform, so a request may not be supported even when Keep is connected.
