Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFortnite quest objectives do not automatically carry across modes: Epic says each experience has different quests, so check the Quests screen for the specific objective and play the experience where it is listed. XP works more broadly: XP earned in Fortnite experiences advances all your active passes at the same time.
Quest completion and XP progression are different
A quest is tied to the experience and objective shown in your quest list. Epic’s instructions are to launch a Fortnite experience, open Quests in the lobby, and play to complete the available objectives. Epic cautions that each experience has different quests, so a Battle Royale quest should not be assumed to count in LEGO Fortnite or Festival, or vice versa. See Epic’s guide to completing Fortnite quests.

XP is less mode-specific. Epic’s guidance says XP earned from playing any Fortnite experience advances all active passes simultaneously. As a result, playing another mode may help level a pass even when it does not satisfy a particular quest objective. The distinction is: check the listed experience for quest credit; check XP earning for pass progress.

How to check where a quest can be completed
- Launch Fortnite and choose an experience that is currently available.
- In the lobby, open Quests and review the objectives shown for that experience.
- Play the experience associated with the objective. Track progress in the Quests screen rather than assuming the same action in another mode will count.
Quest rewards vary; Epic says they are usually XP, level-ups, or cosmetic items. The live in-game quest list is the practical source for current objectives and availability.

What activities can earn XP for passes
Epic’s current support guidance lists several XP sources, including quests, match play, eligible Creative maps, and playing experiences. It also names Kickstart quests, Supercharged XP, periodic Double XP events, and a Victory Crown bonus. Eligible Creative maps are subject to a daily cap. These rules and eligible activities can change, so consult Epic’s XP guidance and the game’s current menus.
Epic specifically identifies Battle Royale, user-made Creative maps, LEGO Fortnite, and Fortnite Festival as ways to earn Battle Pass XP. The broader pass guidance says XP from any experience advances active Battle, OG, LEGO, and Music passes simultaneously. Pass names and availability can change over time; use the active pass display in-game to confirm what is currently offered. See Epic’s explanation of pass XP progression.

Daily and weekly quest timing
Epic’s support page says Daily quests reset each day and Weekly quests refresh every Tuesday. Those are the schedules in its current guidance, not guarantees that a particular quest will always be present or that schedules cannot change. Check the Quests screen for the active set and any in-game timing information.

As of October 4, 2026, Rocket Racing has been removed: Epic says it was taken out on October 1, 2026, and Rocket Racing quests are no longer available. Epic also says UEFN islands made with Rocket Racing templates are unpublished and unplayable. The notice says players’ Vehicle Lockers are unaffected and customized cars remain usable. It supersedes older general quest examples that still name Rocket Racing. Epic’s dedicated retirement notice has the current details.

- An Epic Games account is required to redeem an Epic Games Store Card code
- If playing on a console platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch or Mobile) you need to link your Epic Games account to that gaming platform (one time) to redeem your gift card code
- The 16 digit code on the back of the card WILL NOT work if redeemed directly through your gaming platform (PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, etc.)
- Note: Nintendo devices do not support Fortnite Shared Wallet, so V-Bucks purchased using your account balance will not show up on your Nintendo device. However, if you purchase items in the web Item Shop — or another platform where you play Fortnite — those items will be available in your Locker across all platforms.

Epic says Ballistic was removed and Festival Battle Stage went offline on April 16, 2026. Festival Main Stage and Jam Stage remain. Therefore, a quest or guide mentioning a mode is not proof that it can still be launched; verify current mode availability in Fortnite.

Shared XP progress and reward access are separate. Epic says each pass requires a separate purchase for access to its premium rewards unless the pass is included with Fortnite Crew. Earning XP toward one pass does not itself buy another pass, and claiming rewards from one pass does not advance another. Review Epic’s premium reward access guidance for current conditions.

A quick way to choose a mode
- For a specific quest: confirm that the objective appears for the experience you plan to play.
- For pass levels: choose an available experience that earns XP under current rules; XP can advance each active pass together.
- Before relying on a mode: confirm it is still available, because modes and their quests can be retired.
- For premium rewards: check that you have access to the relevant pass; shared XP alone does not grant premium access.
