Its manual is the authority on assembly, included hardware and VESA mounting details; menus and accessories vary by model and webOS version. Adjust picture settings for your room and preferences rather than treating any single set of values as universal.
Find the instructions for your exact LG OLED
Before assembling the TV or buying mounting hardware, identify its full model number from the label, box or TV settings. Open that model’s LG support page and consult the owner’s manual or quick guide. Manuals specify the assembly sequence, supplied parts and mounting details; do not assume another LG OLED uses the same accessories.

Place the TV where you can safely reach its connections, then follow the on-screen setup and the model-specific guidance. Connect external devices according to the manual and the relevant LG video. If you use more than one source, such as HDMI devices and broadcast TV, check picture settings on each: LG notes that settings may be stored separately by input.

Choose a stand or wall mount

If you are installing the stand
Use the parts and sequence in your model’s manual. LG’s safety guidance says to attach all supplied screws, avoid overtightening and secure a TV placed on a stand against tipping. The cited warning applies to a particular OLED model, so use your own TV’s instructions for the exact assembly and safety details.
If you are wall mounting
Confirm the VESA interface in the TV manual and select a mount that supports it. Do not infer screw length, mount capacity, clearance or compatibility from another model. Check the box and manual for included wall-mount hardware. LG advises removing the stand before installation and seeking qualified help when the building material is not a solid wall.

Adjust picture settings for your room
LG’s picture-settings guide describes options for picture mode, aspect ratio, brightness, color, clarity and resetting settings. Menu names and paths depend on the model and webOS version. Choose a picture mode based on room lighting, the content you watch and your preference, then make adjustments while viewing familiar material.
LG’s 2026 guide provides illustrative settings for natural-light, artificial-light and dark-room viewing. For example, it lists OLED light or backlight values of 100 for its natural-light example and 80 for its artificial-light example. These are manufacturer examples, not universal calibration results: room lighting, screen reflectance, TV capability and video content all affect the image. Use them as starting points only if they suit your set and room.

Troubleshoot a picture that looks too dim
If the screen is unexpectedly dim, check the selected picture mode and energy-saving options before changing multiple picture controls. LG identifies Eco or auto-power-save picture modes and energy saving as possible causes. The menu path varies: LG provides separate guidance for sets from 2025 onward and earlier webOS versions in its dim-picture troubleshooting and energy-saving guidance.
