Why Austek Play wanted clearer time tracking
Austek Play designs and installs commercial playgrounds. Clockify’s customer story describes it as a company with 10–50 employees; the story’s publication year is not stated. As the company’s client list grew, its design team wanted a clearer view of how much time designers spent on each project and task, and more accurate estimates of task effort. Clockify’s Austek Play customer story identifies Alberto Calzavara as Design Team Lead.

How the team used Clockify
Manual entries tied to jobs and categories
Calzavara says manual time tracking was the team’s most-used method. Designers assigned time to jobs, categories, and subcategories so the team could review work at a useful level of detail. He described the approach this way: “Manual time tracking is what we use the most. Paired with the allocation of time to jobs, categories, and subcategories, this feature is what makes the difference to us.” This quotation is from Clockify’s customer story and reflects the interviewee’s account.
The story also mentions that Clockify supports manual timesheet entry, a timer, and an auto-tracker, but it does not say Austek Play used all of those options. Its reported workflow centered on manual entry.

Reports to review task allocation
Calzavara says reports were especially useful for analyzing time spent on tasks and spotting allocation errors. Clockify describes summary, weekly, and detailed reports in the customer story. In its help documentation, Clockify explains that projects organize time entries for specific tasks and that tasks can be assigned to projects: Clockify’s guide to projects and tasks.
Asana stayed the project-management tool
Austek Play already used Asana to manage projects. The story says Clockify integrated with Asana, and Clockify’s integrations page currently lists Asana. The evidence describes Clockify as an additional time-tracking and reporting tool alongside Asana; it does not suggest that Clockify replaced Asana or managed every part of project delivery.

For teams considering a similar workflow, the useful questions are whether their time entries need to map to projects and tasks, whether manual entry or timers fit their routines, what reporting detail they need, and whether their project-management tool integrates with the time tracker. Austek Play’s account illustrates one way to combine these functions, but it is a vendor testimonial rather than a controlled evaluation or tool comparison.
