Aidil Chairi Willian used Tencent EdgeOne Makers to publish a static demonstration of 1st Course—not the complete Laravel application. His account is useful for understanding a Git-connected deployment and a specific 404 fix, but it does not establish that the full PHP and MySQL system ran on Makers.
What the 1st Course deployment actually included
Willian describes 1st Course as an information-management system for a non-formal tutoring institution. Its reported functions include student records, monthly tuition (SPP) management, income and expense records, and financial information, with Admin, Owner, and Student access levels. He lists Laravel 11, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS as the project stack. These are details from the author’s account; the available sources do not independently inspect the application or its code. Willian’s DEV Community article

His Makers deployment was a static web demonstration prepared separately. It should not be read as evidence that the demonstration handled the application’s server-side functions, user access, or database. A complete deployment of the reported Laravel project would need an environment that can run its PHP application and connect to MySQL.

Willian reports using this workflow: local development, GitHub, Tencent EdgeOne Makers, then a static demonstration. In his account, he connected the repository through GitHub, used the main branch for production, chose “Other” for the framework because he had prepared a static page, configured deployment settings, and pushed code to trigger deployment.

Makers is now described by Tencent as a web and agent development and deployment platform built on EdgeOne infrastructure. Its listed capabilities include frontend pages, dynamic APIs, agents, Git integration, CLI and IDE tools, serverless functions, and framework integrations. Those general features do not show that this particular PHP/MySQL application was deployed as a full-stack system. Tencent’s Makers quick-start guide covers current creation paths: importing a Git repository, starting from a template, or direct upload. Tencent notes that a direct-upload project cannot later be switched to Git integration for automatic deployment, so choose the creation path with the intended workflow in mind.
Why the first deployment returned 404
Willian says his first deployment showed a 404 even though the build succeeded. He reports adding an index.html file in the public directory, committing and pushing the change, and starting another deployment; he says the second deployment worked. This is his account of one project, not a universal diagnosis for every Makers 404. Willian’s deployment account
A successful build only confirms that the build process completed; it does not by itself confirm that the deployed URL serves the intended page. For a similar failure, check the deployed URL and logs, then verify that the configured output directory and entry-file path match the files produced by the project. Tencent’s deployment overview and product documentation describe deployment settings and custom 404-page support for broader troubleshooting.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWhat to know about previews and deployment history
Tencent’s current deployment overview documents two operational limits. A preview access link generated after a successful deployment remains valid for three hours. When a project has more than three successful deployment records, Makers retains artifacts from the three most recent successful deployments and marks older records expired; expired deployments return HTTP 401. Tencent says redeploying with the same configuration can restore access. These are documented service behaviors, not outcomes reported for Willian’s project, and service rules can change. When this deployment approach fits
- A static demo or frontend: Willian’s reported setup demonstrates publishing a prepared static page from a Git-connected project.
- A complete Laravel application: The reported project uses PHP and MySQL for application behavior. This static demonstration does not show those server-side features running on Makers. Confirm the current runtime and database support against Tencent’s documentation before planning a full application deployment.
- Choosing a project setup path: Use Git import if you want repository-based deployments; Tencent also documents templates and direct upload. Direct upload does not convert later to automatic Git deployment.
Tencent describes Makers as retaining EdgeOne Pages’ existing product logic and features while adding native AI-agent support. It also advertises global edge acceleration, intelligent caching, serverless functions, and full-stack framework support. These are vendor descriptions, not independent performance measurements. No measured speed, uptime, cost, or project-specific performance result is established for the 1st Course deployment. Product Introduction – EdgeOne Makers
