What information does the service say it can monitor?
Hoverwatch describes GPS location and location history, call and text records, selected social-messaging activity, web history, and app usage, with information viewed through an online control panel. These are vendor-described capabilities, not independently verified performance claims. What is available can depend on the device and its settings; the software has not been independently tested here. Review the product feature description before deciding whether it fits your needs.

Use tracking only with proper authority and consent
Hoverwatch states, “Hoverwatch is designed and sold for lawful, consent-based monitoring only.” Its acceptable-use policy, last modified June 8, 2026, allows examples such as a parent or legal guardian monitoring their own minor child on a device they own or legally control, and an employer monitoring a company-owned device after advance written disclosure and acknowledgment. It prohibits monitoring a spouse, partner, ex-partner or other adult, and installing the service on a device you do not own or have authority to monitor. Read the Acceptable Use Policy.
The vendor’s separate lawful-use guidance says users should own or be authorized to monitor the device and inform its user; for adult users, it says knowledge and consent are required. These are the vendor’s rules, not universal legal advice. Laws differ by country, state and region, including rules on employee monitoring and recording-related consent. Check the rules that apply where you and the device user are located before installing monitoring software.

Is Hoverwatch a fit for your need?
For a short evaluation on a supported device you are authorized to monitor, the three-day trial may let you assess the vendor’s described features. For locating your own missing phone, first consider the device maker’s built-in lost-device tools; a monitoring app that must be installed in advance may not help after a device is already lost. If you need iPhone or iPad support, Hoverwatch is not an option according to the vendor.
Before starting any trial, compare the supported operating system, whether you need to locate your own device or monitor an authorized one, the trial’s duration versus subscription terms, the kinds of data collected, setup access, and consent and privacy obligations. Do not install the software secretly or on a device you lack authority to monitor.
