Neither Hostripples nor GoDaddy is a proven universal winner. Hostripples’ official materials emphasize cPanel, NVMe storage, LiteSpeed, daily backups and migration, while GoDaddy’s published plans show tiered limits and a localized introductory offer. Choose by matching the plan, market and billing term to your needs—not by comparing unlike headline prices.

Hostripples vs GoDaddy: What the available plans show

The figures below were displayed on official provider pages accessed October 7, 2026. They are market-specific offers, not a matched price comparison. The title’s September 2026 date should not be read as confirmation that these prices were available then.

Provider and offer Published details Important qualification
Hostripples shared hosting Starting at ₹129.00 per month on its India-focused page Advertised starting price; plan and billing term affect the checkout price. Hostripples says signup pricing remains locked at renewal, but verify that claim and the selected plan’s terms in the cart.
GoDaddy Economy €2.19 per month for the first one-year term; one website, 25 GB NVMe storage and cPanel Introductory offer in the locale displayed by GoDaddy. The page also lists domain and email offers and SSL for one year; check their exact terms.

GoDaddy’s page also lists higher shared-hosting tiers and managed WordPress plans with different site and storage limits. Those plans should be compared individually rather than treated as equivalent to Economy.

The ₹129 and €2.19 figures cannot establish which provider is cheaper: they use different currencies and markets, and GoDaddy’s figure is specifically for the first one-year term. Compare checkout totals in the same country and currency, for the same billing length and site count. Include renewal pricing and any paid add-ons needed for your use case.

Is Hostripples better than GoDaddy?

It depends on what the specific plan includes and where your audience is. Hostripples’ official site describes Linux shared plans with NVMe storage and LiteSpeed, alongside CloudLinux, Imunify360, free SSL, daily JetBackup snapshots, free migration and cPanel. It lists support in English, Hindi and Marathi. These are provider descriptions, not independent performance or security test results; confirm that each feature applies to the tier you intend to buy.

GoDaddy’s plan page presents a tiered selection, so site count, storage and inclusions depend on the plan. Its hosting agreement says ordinary web hosting shares server resources among customers. That is a useful reminder to check that a shared plan suits your workload, but it does not by itself establish how either host will perform for a particular site.

The reviewed official materials do not provide a controlled head-to-head test of speed or uptime. Nor do they establish which provider will be faster for your visitors: location, configuration and workload matter, and the available evidence does not support a comparative latency claim.

Which host is cheaper after renewal?

The cited prices do not answer this. Hostripples advertises a starting price and claims signup pricing stays locked at renewal; the amount still depends on the selected plan and billing terms. GoDaddy’s cited €2.19 Economy price applies to the first one-year term, so it should not be treated as its renewal rate. Check each provider’s checkout and renewal terms before committing.

For a meaningful comparison, write down the total cost for the same market, currency, term and number of sites. Add only features the chosen plan does not include and that you actually need—such as email, backups, SSL, migration or security tools. Compare the first paid term and renewal separately.

Does Hostripples include daily backups?

Hostripples’ official homepage lists daily JetBackup snapshots for its Linux shared plans. Because features can vary by tier and plan terms, confirm the selected plan’s backup frequency, retention period and restore process. A backup feature is most useful when you know how to retrieve a usable copy.

For GoDaddy managed WordPress, the hosting agreement describes automated daily backups, WordPress core updates and server-level caching. Those details are specific to managed WordPress; do not assume they apply to every shared-hosting tier. Keep an independent backup and check how you can export your site before changing providers.

Does GoDaddy hosting include SSL?

The cited GoDaddy Economy offer displays SSL for one year. Check the current plan terms to see what happens after that period and whether the certificate covers your needs. Hostripples lists free SSL on its Linux shared plans, but that is also a provider statement to verify against the exact tier.

How to choose between them

  1. Match the audience and market. Check the available plans and locations relevant to your visitors. The cited materials do not establish a speed advantage for either host.
  2. Compare full-term costs. Use one country, currency, site count and billing length; include renewal and relevant paid features.
  3. Check capacity and plan scope. Compare site limits, storage and whether ordinary shared hosting or a managed WordPress plan fits your site.
  4. Inspect operations. For WordPress, check updates, caching, backup frequency, retention and restoration. Confirm migration terms before moving.
  5. Read support and contract terms. Check available support channels and languages, cancellation rules, content-export responsibilities and any uptime-guarantee remedy.

What GoDaddy’s uptime guarantee does—and does not—mean

GoDaddy’s hosting page advertises a 99.9% uptime guarantee and says customers may be eligible for a discount if the guarantee is not met. That is a contractual promise with a possible remedy, not an independently measured uptime result. Read the applicable guarantee and agreement for eligibility and remedy details before relying on it.

GoDaddy’s hosting agreement, last revised September 30, 2026, says customers are responsible for moving content before termination. Do not assume site content will be preserved or transferred after cancellation; arrange an export and backup in advance.

Verdict: choose by plan, not brand name

Hostripples is a plausible fit if its specific India-focused plan, listed features and support languages suit your requirements. GoDaddy is a plausible fit if a tier’s limits and terms match your site and you have checked the localized introductory offer alongside renewal costs. The available official information does not establish a universal winner or a performance winner; the deciding evidence is the actual plan and contract for your market.
