Hostinger now presents its website builder as AI Builder, a platform with two ways to create: visual editing in Manual mode and conversational building in Agentic mode. It bundles website and app-building tools with ecommerce and marketing features, but the advertised low monthly prices require a four-year upfront purchase and rise at renewal. Hostinger’s product pages describe the features and pricing; they do not independently establish how easy the editor is to use or how fast, effective, or reliable a finished site will be.
What is Hostinger AI Builder?
Hostinger describes AI Builder as a no-code platform for websites and web apps. It says the platform combines its earlier website builder and Horizons into one product, with Manual and Agentic modes. The scope is broader than a conventional visual website editor: Hostinger also promotes app-building, backend functions, commerce, and marketing capabilities. This review focuses on what a first-time site owner or small business should weigh when choosing it for a website or online store.

Hostinger reported in its August 18, 2026 launch announcement that projects outside traditional website categories—including SaaS products, internal tools, or learning platforms—accounted for nearly one in five projects on its platform, compared with fewer than 4% a year earlier. Those are Hostinger’s figures, not an independently verified industry measure. Read Hostinger’s launch announcement.

How do Manual and Agentic modes differ?
| Mode | How you build | Hostinger’s intended use | Important consideration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manual | Drag and drop pre-designed elements and edit text and images directly. | Small-to-medium websites such as stores, portfolios, business sites, and blogs. | Hostinger says integrations are limited in this mode. Direct text and image editing does not use Agentic credits. |
| Agentic | Describe changes or features in an AI conversation; a code editor and integrations are also available. | Projects needing more flexibility, such as web apps, CRMs, membership sites, portals, or authentication. | AI chat actions and live AI features consume credits, so ongoing use depends on the project and credit allowance. |
For a mostly standard site where you want hands-on control over layout and copy, Manual is the more direct route. If the project needs app-like behavior or integrations, Agentic is the mode Hostinger positions for that flexibility. Hostinger’s own FAQ advises switching to Agentic when Manual’s integration limits are a problem. See Hostinger’s AI Builder FAQ.
How much does Hostinger Website Builder cost?
On Hostinger’s US-dollar pricing page observed October 7, 2026, the advertised monthly figures were equivalents for plans paid upfront for 48 months—not month-to-month prices. The same page showed the upfront total and renewal rate below. Prices and inclusions can vary by geography or change over time.
| Plan | 48-month upfront total | Advertised monthly equivalent for that term | Displayed renewal rate | Selected distinctions shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $143.52 | $2.99/month | $10.99/month | Up to 3 websites; 5 one-time AI website/app creation credits; 2 mailboxes per site free for 1 year; custom domain free for 1 year. |
| Unlimited | $191.52 | $3.99/month | $16.99/month | Unlimited websites; 15 one-time AI credits; unlimited mailboxes per site free for 1 year; ecommerce available. |
| Cloud Startup | $383.52 | $7.99/month | $25.99/month | Unlimited websites; 15 one-time AI credits plus 20 Hostinger Agent credits; ecommerce available; positioned for performance and scalability. |
These are Hostinger’s displayed plan prices and distinctions, not independently verified performance or value ratings. The page says the monthly figure is the plan total divided across the term and that plans are paid upfront. Its unlimited features are subject to Hostinger’s Fair Usage Policy. Check the current checkout for your country, the exact renewal terms, and eligibility conditions before buying; Hostinger’s page also displays a 30-day money-back guarantee, but its terms may vary by region and eligibility. Check Hostinger’s current plans and pricing.
How do AI credits work?
Hostinger says Agentic credits are used for building or editing through AI chat and for live AI features that visitors use, such as chatbots or content generators. Manual text and image edits are performed directly and do not consume those credits. The plan page describes the creation credits as one-time gifts: 5 on Premium and 15 on both Unlimited and Cloud Startup; Cloud Startup also lists 20 Hostinger Agent credits.
Hostinger’s FAQ gives illustrative usage guidance, not independent measurements: a simple business page usually takes 5–10 credits, while some complex web apps average 15 or more. Because the listed creation credits are one-time, a project that needs repeated AI changes or visitor-facing AI tools may use credits differently from a one-off site draft. The cited pages do not establish the long-term cost of sustained credit use for a particular project, so estimate likely AI activity and check the current terms before relying on it.
What can you build and sell?
Hostinger promotes websites as well as web apps, and its plan page lists features such as creation from a URL, templates, text and image editing, code editing and export, a testing environment for edits, localization, analytics and marketing integrations, and ecommerce availability by tier. Confirm the tier-by-tier feature table at purchase because inclusions can change.
For stores, Hostinger advertises sales of physical products, digital downloads, and services, along with 0% platform transaction fees, more than 100 payment methods, instant digital downloads, and shipping automation and tracking with more than 40 carriers. These are vendor claims; the payment, shipping, tax, and other checkout options that apply can depend on plan, setup, and location. Before committing to a store, verify the exact payment methods available where you operate, shipping workflow, product and download limits, tax handling, subscriptions if needed, and regional availability.

Are integrations and exports sufficient for your project?
Hostinger lists connections that include Stripe, PayPal, Google analytics and advertising products, Meta Pixel, WhatsApp, Hotjar, email marketing, and other API-based integrations. Its stated limitation is that integrations are restricted in Manual mode; Agentic mode is the route it recommends for more flexibility. If a particular connection is essential, confirm that it supports the workflows you need rather than relying on a name in an integrations list.
Hostinger says projects can be exported and self-hosted elsewhere. That is a vendor-described portability option, but its FAQ does not specify every export limitation or which interactive functions remain after a move. If avoiding lock-in is important, clarify what files and functionality export, what hosting setup is needed, and whether the result can be maintained without AI Builder.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is it easy to use, and is it good for AI site creation?
The product is designed to offer a visual no-code path and a conversational AI path, so a beginner can choose between direct editing and describing the desired result. That describes the intended workflow, not proof that either mode is consistently easy or produces a site ready to publish. The available product materials do not independently assess editor usability, design quality, mobile output, SEO results, speed, uptime, security, support, or customer satisfaction. Treat those as items to test on your own project rather than as established strengths.

Hostinger’s August 2026 announcement frames AI Builder as a way to extend beyond generating a homepage into stores, user-management systems, customer acquisition, and ongoing project changes. That is the company’s product direction, not an independently demonstrated outcome. A practical evaluation is to build a representative page, check its mobile layout, test required integrations and checkout, and see whether the AI edits remain usable and within the credits you expect.
Who should consider it—and what should they check first?
AI Builder may suit a creator, first-time site owner, or small business that values an all-in-one starting point and is comfortable choosing between visual and conversational workflows. A more complex store or app deserves closer verification because plan-level ecommerce access, integration limits, credit consumption, and export behavior can materially affect fit.

- Match the project to the mode: Manual for visual site editing; Agentic when app-like features or greater integration flexibility matter.
- Budget for the full upfront term and the displayed renewal rate, not just the monthly equivalent.
- Check whether the included one-time credits cover the initial build and expected AI changes or live features.
- Verify site-count, email, domain, ecommerce, and fair-use terms for the plan and region at checkout.
- Test critical integrations, store workflows, mobile layouts, and export requirements before moving an important site.
