What the title and description control
Hostinger says the blog post’s title and description are automatically used as its meta title and meta description. That means the post-level fields are the controls to edit for this metadata; they are distinct from the builder’s page-level SEO settings.
Hostinger recommends keeping meta titles to up to 60 symbols, including spaces, and meta descriptions to up to 160 symbols, including spaces. These are Hostinger’s general recommendations, not guarantees about search-engine display or ranking. See its guidance on meta titles and descriptions.

If the description does not appear on the post
The description’s content and whether it is visibly shown on the post are separate settings. The post’s General tab holds the description text; header settings control which elements are displayed. Check the header’s Style tab and make sure the description is enabled if you want it visible on the page. Other header visibility options include category, author, publication date, and reading time. Hostinger outlines these controls in its blog settings guide.
When will search results reflect the change?
Updating the site publishes the edit to your website, but it does not force search engines to change their listings immediately. Hostinger says updated metadata can take from a few days to a few weeks to appear in search results as search engines recrawl and evaluate the page. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed schedule. Its meta title and description guidance provides that timeframe.
