To send a customer a receipt in a Hostinger AI Builder online store, open the order, download the receipt, and email the downloaded file to the customer’s address. Downloading is a manual step: Hostinger’s support instructions describe downloading the receipt and sending it yourself, not a button that emails it to the buyer.
Download a receipt for a single order
Hostinger’s support article on receipts describes the task as sending a receipt “to a customer after they successfully place an order in your Hostinger AI Builder online store.” The workflow runs from the individual order record:

- Open the store management area and go to Orders.
- Open the order you need.
- In the top-right corner, open More actions and click Download receipt.
- Find the customer’s email address in the order details and send the downloaded receipt to that address from your own email client.
The support article does not state the file format of the receipt, and it does not describe an in-product control for attaching or sending the receipt by email. Plan around the download-then-send steps as documented.

Receipts are separate from automatic order emails
Hostinger’s support article on store emails says transactional messages, including order confirmations and other order updates, are sent to customers automatically. A receipt is a different action: it is something you download and send yourself. Keep the two in mind when a customer says they never received something, because the confirmation email and the receipt are not the same document.

Confirmation timing also depends on how the order was paid:
- Online payment: the confirmation is sent once the order is marked Paid.
- Manual or offline payment: the confirmation is sent when the order is created.
- Appointment bookings and digital products: the confirmation is sent only after the order is marked Paid.
Choose a receipt or an invoice
A receipt and an invoice serve different customer needs. Hostinger’s support article on invoices says that if a customer only needs proof of payment, you should send a receipt. If the customer needs a formal invoice document, you can create one from the order. Hostinger states that the generated invoice is not a tax invoice, so do not present it as one.

Whether an invoice meets your local tax or billing rules is outside what Hostinger’s support material covers. If your business has invoicing obligations, confirm the requirements for your region with a qualified adviser.

Practical checks before you send
- Confirm the order’s payment status shows the payment you expect before sending a receipt for it.
- Check the email address in the order details, since the receipt goes to that address.
- No printer or physical product is needed. Printing is not part of the receipt steps in Hostinger’s documentation.
