In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, line spacing is controlled by the Line height setting. You can change it in two places: for a whole text style, which affects matching text across the site, or for one selected text element. Line height is separate from paragraph breaks, which are created with the Enter key and a new line created with Shift+Enter or Command+Enter.
Choose the scope: a text style or a single element
Hostinger’s help article on line spacing describes two ways to adjust the setting. The article’s own wording is: “In Hostinger AI Builder manual mode, you can change the line spacing in two ways” (Hostinger Help Center, line spacing article). Before you start, decide which of the two you need.

Both approaches use the same Line height control, so the difference is scope, not the type of adjustment.

Change line height for a whole text style
Use this route when the goal is consistency. Changing a style updates all matching text elements, so check other sections of the page afterward.

- In the left panel, expand Website styles.
- Open Fonts, then choose Edit text styles.
- Select Headings or Paragraphs and navigation.
- Select the style you want to adjust, such as Heading 1 or a paragraph style.
- Change Line height.

Change line height for one text element
Use this route when a single block needs different spacing, for example a longer intro paragraph on one page.

- Click the specific text element on the page.
- Choose Edit text.
- Open the More options (⋮) menu in the text toolbar.
- Change Line height.

Line height is not the same as a line break
Readers often reach for the wrong control. Hostinger’s line spacing article separates two editing actions:

- Enter starts a new paragraph, which adds paragraph spacing between blocks of text.
- Shift+Enter on Windows, or Command+Enter on macOS, starts a new line inside the same paragraph.
Neither shortcut changes the Line height value. If text looks too tight or too loose, adjust the Line height setting; if it wraps in the wrong place, change the line break.
Set line height separately for mobile
Hostinger’s mobile editing article states that line height can be set differently in desktop and mobile views (mobile version article). A value that looks right on desktop can be too open or too cramped on a phone, so make the change in the view where the problem appears.

- Switch to the mobile view in the editor before adjusting a value that only looks wrong on phones.
- Preview the page at a phone-sized width after editing.
- Check the desktop view again, because a mobile change does not confirm the desktop result.
Other style properties may behave differently between views, so verify each one rather than assuming it carries over.
Pick a value by checking it in context
Hostinger’s help pages do not name a universally correct line-height number. The right value depends on the font, the heading size, and the design of the page, so there is no safe number to copy from one site to another. Make a change, view the page at normal reading size, and adjust until headings and body text feel readable without crowding each other.
