Neither the Herz P1 nor the Oxiline Scale MD Pro has been shown to be more accurate in a controlled head-to-head test. Both estimate body composition using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), so the practical choice comes down to features, power, display and app preferences—not proof of clinical accuracy.
What the comparison can—and cannot—tell you
Both companies describe their scales as using BIA. The method estimates body-composition measures from electrical signals; those estimates are not the same as a diagnosis or a clinically validated measurement. The available evidence does not establish either model as more accurate than the other.

Herz lists an eight-electrode, dual-frequency design and claims up to 97% accuracy. That figure is a manufacturer claim: the product page does not provide a validation protocol or study supporting it. Oxiline describes sensors in both the scale base and handle. Neither design description, by itself, proves better accuracy.

Reviewer Erin Bashford reported a 2.9-percentage-point overnight body-fat change during her testing; that is one reviewer’s observation, not a population statistic or a direct comparison with Herz.

The P1 may suit someone who prefers the manufacturer’s stated eight-electrode, dual-frequency design, wants an embedded display, and is comfortable replacing AAA batteries. Treat the 56-metric count and up-to-97% accuracy statement as vendor claims, not independently verified performance results.

Choose Oxiline if charging, handle display or exports matter more
The MD Pro may suit someone who prefers a rechargeable scale with a handle-mounted OLED display and values the PDF/CSV export and health-platform sync features Oxiline describes. The independent review’s concerns are worth considering, but they do not establish how every user will fare or how the device compares with Herz.

How to get more consistent readings
Herz’s setup guide recommends a hard, flat surface and barefoot use with clean, dry feet. It says to wait for the display to show 0.0 before stepping on. The guide also advises against measuring immediately after exercise, bathing or a sauna, eating or drinking, or when sick or dehydrated. Following consistent conditions can make readings easier to compare over time, but it does not validate the estimates as clinical measurements.

Herz says not to use the P1 with a pacemaker or similar medical implant and says use is not recommended during pregnancy. Review the manufacturer’s setup and safety guide and consult a healthcare professional if you are unsure whether BIA is appropriate for you.
