I’m Robin Hind, a BCA student at Techno Main Salt Lake, and this is my hello to the DEV Community. In my introduction post on DEV, published September 24, 2026, I wrote that I’m joining “to learn from experienced developers, share my projects, and document my journey as I grow into a software developer.” Here is who I am, what I’m exploring and what I hope to give back.
Who I am
I’m a BCA student at Techno Main Salt Lake. DEV also shows my name as Ayan Ray Halder (Robin). I’m interested in programming, artificial intelligence and software development, and I’m at the beginning of the path toward becoming a software developer. That is how I describe myself, and I’m not claiming expertise.

What I’m learning
I’m exploring six areas:
- Programming
- Web development
- Artificial intelligence
- Data science and machine learning
- SQL databases
- Software development
I’m still working out which of these I’ll go deepest into, so I’ll write about them as I learn them.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhy I joined DEV
I joined for four reasons:
- To learn from experienced developers.
- To share my projects.
- To document my progress.
- To connect with other people who are learning or building.
I believe the fastest way to learn is to build things and share them. That is my own conviction and plan, not a researched rule.
