Halo: Flashpoint 1.5: What Changed and How to Update

Halo: Flashpoint 1.5 consolidates key rules and applies a balance pass. Here’s how existing players and newcomers can choose the right update route.

Halo: Flashpoint 1.5 combines a consolidated rulebook with a balance update. Existing players can use the revised digital rules or choose the printed Rulebook Pack and, if needed, the Unit Card Update Pack; new players can start with the Spartan Edition Starter Set. Mantic says this is not a new edition, and that most cards remain unchanged.

What Halo: Flashpoint 1.5 changes

Mantic describes version 1.5 as both a rules consolidation and a balance pass. Its updated core rulebook incorporates earlier FAQ and errata, collects keywords from expansions, and brings War Games fireteam-building rules into the main book. That puts more of the rules players need in one place instead of leaving them spread across separate references. Mantic’s 30 September 2026 update and its 15 September 2026 update guide describe the changes.

The available official summaries do not list every revised card or provide before-and-after balance values. So it is not possible to say from those summaries which specific units changed or how a particular card’s rules or points compare. Mantic says most cards remain valid; the update deck is for cards that were updated, not a wholesale replacement of every card.

Mantic says 1.5 is not a new edition. Existing miniatures, terrain and accessories remain relevant, and the publisher directs players to its current guide for instructions on updating their collections.
