Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days 2026 runs October 6–7, but Amazon has not confirmed SSD-specific promotions on its early-deal page. Current listings show prices on several SSDs, including Crucial P310 models, but those are observed offers—not verified event deals. Check the live listing’s event label, price, seller, condition, stock, and shipping before buying.
When are Prime Big Deal Days 2026?
Amazon says its 48-hour Prime Big Deal Days event begins at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6 and runs through October 7, with offers across more than 35 categories. Amazon’s announcement says new deals are scheduled to appear three times daily during the event and remain available only while supplies last. Amazon’s early-deal page confirms that some offers are already live, but it does not identify SSD promotions. Treat a drive as an event deal only if its current listing shows the relevant offer.

| Crucial P310, 2TB | $252.21 at Amazon; compared with $299.99, as listed by PC Gamer on October 3, 2026 | PCIe 4.0 NVMe; QLC memory and no DRAM cache; up to 7,100 MB/s read and 6,000 MB/s write. Source: PC Gamer. |
| Samsung 9100 PRO, 1TB | $249.99 at Amazon; compared with $339.99, as listed by PC Gamer on October 3, 2026 | PCIe 5.0; up to 14,700 MB/s read and 13,300 MB/s write. Check that your system supports PCIe 5.0 and that the drive’s cooling requirements suit your setup. Source: PC Gamer. |
| Samsung 990 EVO Plus | No competitive retailer deal price established; Samsung’s U.S. product page showed the 1TB and 2TB variants out of stock when checked | PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2; Samsung lists up to 7,250 MB/s read and 6,300 MB/s write. Use Samsung’s product page for specifications, not as evidence of a retailer deal. |
How to decide whether an SSD price is worthwhile
- Compare the same capacity. Work out the price per terabyte and compare like-for-like models; a larger drive may cost more overall while offering a lower cost per TB.
- Match the interface and form factor. Check your motherboard, laptop, or console documentation for supported M.2 size and PCIe generation before ordering. An M.2 connector alone does not guarantee compatibility with every M.2 SSD.
- Choose for the workload, not just the headline speed. Sequential read/write figures are specification maxima, not a guarantee of everyday application, game-loading, or file-transfer performance. The P310 models are DRAM-less, and the 2TB listing specifies QLC memory; consider those details alongside price and intended use.
- Check cooling and clearance. Confirm whether the drive includes a heatsink and whether your system has room for it. In particular, verify support and cooling before choosing a PCIe 5.0 drive such as the 9100 PRO.
- Inspect the actual offer. Confirm the selected capacity, marketplace region, seller, new or renewed condition, stock, shipping, warranty, and return terms. A marketplace snapshot also showed a new Crucial P310 2TB offer at $250.38 from Amazon Germany alongside used or renewed listings, illustrating why a bare lowest price can be misleading. Should you buy now or wait for the event?
There is no established price floor for these SSDs in the available listings, and the current information does not prove prices will rise after the event. If a drive meets your needs, compare its live price and terms with other offers for the same capacity and specification. If you wait, recheck during Prime Big Deal Days: Amazon says new offers appear three times daily, and availability is limited to remaining stock. Do not assume a current price is a Prime discount unless the listing itself identifies it as an event offer.
