Sony and Rockstar have not confirmed that minimum on the official pages reviewed, and the tracker post linked by the report could not be checked. Treat 14.10.00.00 as an unverified report, not a settled requirement.
What PS5 firmware does GTA 6 reportedly require?
The reported minimum is PS5 system software 14.10.00.00 or newer. TwistedVoxel published the claim on October 3, 2026, attributing it to PlayStation Game Size. The linked tracker post was inaccessible, so the number has not been independently verified. TwistedVoxel’s report

Version numbers are identifiers, not decimal values: do not treat 14.10.00.00 as a mathematical number or infer compatibility from a partial string. The available sources do not establish a second confirmed minimum to compare against. If your console reports an older version, updating through Sony’s official system update process is a sensible way to keep the console current, but this report alone does not prove that an update is required for GTA VI.
Has Sony or Rockstar confirmed the requirement?
No. Rockstar’s support information lists GTA VI for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and identifies Standard and Ultimate editions, but does not state a PS5 firmware minimum. PlayStation’s game page lists PS5 and PS5 Pro availability without naming a minimum system software version. The exact number should therefore remain attributed to the report until Sony or Rockstar publishes a confirmation.
