The verified Unreal Engine 5 game is RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which Jagex describes as a separate survival-crafting experience, while the animated project associated with Charlie “MoistCr1TiKaL” White is Godslap, an adaptation of his comic.
What is confirmed—and what is not
Jagex’s official franchise and product announcements identify RuneScape: Dragonwilds as a cooperative survival-crafting adventure powered by Unreal Engine 5, not as a newly announced RuneScape MMORPG. In a September 15, 2026 announcement, Jagex explicitly described Dragonwilds as separate from the RuneScape MMORPG. Jagex’s franchise page lists RuneScape, Old School RuneScape and Dragonwilds as distinct experiences; its September product announcement supplies the separation detail.

The available official RuneFest and Jagex materials reviewed for this article do not substantiate the headline’s claimed new MMO or RuneScape animation reveal. That is not proof that no announcement was made during the live event: RuneFest is taking place October 3–4, and coverage or official pages may change as it unfolds. Until Jagex confirms such a project, it is safest not to describe either claim as an established announcement.

Why Dragonwilds may be confused with a new MMO
Dragonwilds shares the RuneScape setting and uses Unreal Engine 5, but its genre and relationship to the MMORPG are different. Jagex calls it a cooperative survival-crafting adventure and says it is a separate experience from the RuneScape MMORPG. That distinction matters: an Unreal Engine game connected to the franchise is not, by itself, evidence of a new mainline MMO.

It also says physical Standard and Deluxe editions for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are planned for Q4 2026. These are Dragonwilds details, not confirmation of another RuneScape game.
MoistCr1TiKaL’s documented animation project is Godslap
Animation World Network reported on September 8, 2026, that Godslap, the comic by Charlie “MoistCr1TiKaL” White, was in production as a 2D hand-drawn animated feature. The report names Lyrical Animation and White’s Meatier Productions as producers, with Powerhouse Animation handling animation; it lists Kellan Stover as director and Daniel Dominguez and Jacob Robinson as writers. Its planned release is 2028. Animation World Network’s report and Production List’s entry describe a feature adaptation, not a RuneScape series.

A later official announcement could add new information, but the claims of a RuneScape MMO reveal and a MoistCr1TiKaL RuneScape series are not established by the sources cited here.
