Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteGRID Legends, Codemasters’ 2022 racing game published by Electronic Arts, does not have a documented bonus-code menu. The code lists that circulate online belong to the 2008 game, Race Driver: GRID, and should not be applied to GRID Legends. What the official GRID Legends material does document is a large set of difficulty, driving-assist, damage, camera, and HUD settings, which is where most useful tuning happens.
Why the GRID code lists do not apply
Searches for GRID cheats return a lot of material, but most of it describes the 2008 game, GRID (also sold as Race Driver: GRID). The original manual for that title tells players to enter bonus codes through an Options > Bonus Codes menu, and it notes that some features could be earned through play and that cheats could not be used in online games. Third-party cheat indexes list the same codes under the 2008 title. None of those menu paths or rules come from GRID Legends.

The official GRID Legends documentation, as checked in early October 2026 on EA’s PC gameplay settings page, describes settings and progression rather than a code-entry screen. That means you should not expect a bonus-code field in GRID Legends, and you should be cautious about any site that gives a specific GRID Legends code without a current official source. We were not able to verify a complete code list for GRID Legends, and no official source we checked provides a master list of unlock conditions.

Settings that change difficulty and handling
EA’s PC gameplay settings page lists these difficulty presets: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, Legend, and Custom. Easy is the displayed default. If you change individual settings, the game marks the configuration as Custom, so a preset label tells you whether you are still on a standard setup.
#1 Best Overall
- GRID Legends delivers instant thrills and iconic racing moments for anyone who dreams of jumping in an amazing car and hitting the loud pedal.
- Create unforgettable racing moments with GRID's largest ever roster of cars and locations, hand-picked for heart-pounding action.
- As a new season of the legendary GRID World Series rolls into view, up-and-comers Seneca Motorsport are emerging as a major contender, spearheaded by a rookie sensation behind the wheel: you.
- Take control of your path to glory and race against AI, friends, or any other GRID Legends player, in our most ambitious and fun Career ever.
The table below lists the driving and race options documented on that page, with the values shown there.
| Setting | Options shown on EA’s PC settings page | Displayed default |
|---|---|---|
| Damage | Full or Visual Only | Not stated |
| Technical Damage | On or Off | Not stated |
| Flashback | On or Off | Not stated |
| Transmission | From automatic through to manual configurations | Not stated |
| Racing Line | On, Off, or Corners Only | Not stated |
| Career Race Length | X1 through X5 | X1 |
| ABS, Traction Control, Stability Control | Each has a 0 to 5 range | 5 for each |
| Drift Mode Counter Steer Assist | On or Off | Not stated |
Two points matter when you are deciding what to change. First, the assists and Racing Line options make the game easier to drive, but they also reduce the challenge and the feel of managing the car yourself. Second, the damage and Flashback options change consequences, not handling. Set them according to whether you want realism or a forgiving session.
Visual comfort: camera and feedback settings
The camera and feedback options control how much motion and impact you feel on screen. The documented driver-head camera field-of-view range is 55 to 95, with 75 shown as the default. The four feedback values are each set on a 0 to 100 scale, and each defaults to 100.

- RACE CREATOR - Use the Race Creator to design adrenaline-fuelled races to tear up with your friends, with event types like Elimination, electrifying Boost races, and the return of Drift.

| Option | Range shown | Displayed default | What it changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Driver-head camera FOV | 55 to 95 | 75 | How wide the view is from the driver-head camera |
| Camera suspension feedback | 0 to 100 | 100 | Camera movement tied to suspension |
| High-speed camera feedback | 0 to 100 | 100 | Camera shake at high speed |
| Tyre-effect feedback | 0 to 100 | 100 | Shake from tyre effects |
| Impact feedback | 0 to 100 | 100 | Feedback from collisions and impacts |
These settings adjust the camera behaviour and effects. The official page does not report frame-rate or image-quality results for them, so treat changes as a matter of comfort. A lower feedback value reduces shake, which can help if motion makes you feel unwell, while a wider or narrower FOV changes how much of the track and surrounding cars you see.
EA’s accessibility overview also points to video options for display mode, resolution, and brightness. Those are the place to adjust clarity on your own display, since the feedback sliders do not change sharpness.
Simplifying or expanding the HUD
The HUD can be fully enabled, fully disabled, or customized. When customized, you can toggle individual elements. The documented toggles are:

- Mini-map
- Driver tags
- Instrument dial
- Timing
- Race positions
- Racecraft notifications
- Alert messages
- Rear-view mirror
- Proximity arrows
- Flashback counter
- Teammate controls
A cleaner HUD reduces clutter but removes information you may rely on in close racing. A practical approach is to turn off decorative or repeated elements first, such as driver tags, and keep race positions and the mirror if you race in traffic.
Unlocks and progression
EA’s v1.07 patch notes report that certain named vehicles were fixed so they unlock correctly. That confirms an unlock issue was patched in that update, but it does not provide a complete list of unlock conditions for every car, event, or upgrade. If a vehicle does not appear as expected, check that your game is on a current build, then review the event and career progress that leads to it.
The Mechanic Pass, listed by EA as an add-on, increases total car mileage so mechanical upgrades unlock faster. Standard base-game progression does not depend on add-on content.

Controllers and control bindings
EA’s PC control documentation states that Xbox and PlayStation controllers are supported on PC and that bindings can be customized. If a controller setup feels wrong, change the bindings in the controls menu rather than adjusting the settings above, since bindings and difficulty are separate choices.
Editions and add-ons
EA’s product page lists GRID Legends in standard and Deluxe editions. Add-ons listed there include Winter Bash, Rise of Ravenwest, Enduring Spirit, Valentin’s Classic Car-Nage, Seneca and Ravenwest content, the Deluxe Upgrade, and the Mechanic Pass. Edition contents and prices change, so confirm the current edition and platform on the store listing before you buy.

- Do you want the game to teach you the car, or to test your skill? Assists and difficulty answer this.
- Do you need to read information during close racing? Keep the mini-map, race positions, and mirror if so.
- Does motion bother you? Lower the feedback values and check the FOV before adjusting anything else.
Change one setting at a time and race a short session before deciding. That makes it clear which option is responsible for any change in difficulty or comfort.
