The Google Pixel 10a costs more at current US list prices, while the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G gives you a larger screen and faster wired charging. How much more does the Pixel 10a cost?
At the time of the listed comparison, Google’s US store showed the Pixel 10a starting at $599 for 128 GB. AT&T showed the Galaxy A37 5G with a $449.99 US retail starting price. Subtracting those figures gives a nominal $149.01 difference, but this is not a same-retailer unlocked-price comparison; taxes, configuration, promotions, stock, and carrier terms can change what you actually pay. See AT&T’s comparison and offer details.
AT&T’s advertised monthly offer is conditional on opening a new line and maintaining eligible service under a 36-month agreement. Treat it as a carrier offer, not as the phone’s unlocked cash price. Samsung’s global launch announcement does not establish a universal US price, and Galaxy A37 pricing and configurations vary by market.

Pixel 10a price change
The Pixel 10a originally launched in the US at $499 for 128 GB, according to Android Central’s October 2, 2026 report. That report says the new listed prices are $599 for 128 GB and $699 for 256 GB; Google’s live store listing showed the $599 starting price at the time of this comparison. Google has not stated a reason for the change. Details are in Android Central’s Pixel 10a price update.
Which phone suits you better?
Choose the Pixel 10a for a smaller phone and wireless charging
The Pixel is shorter, narrower, and lighter than the A37, with a 6.3-inch display rather than 6.7 inches. It also supports Qi-certified wireless charging, which the cited A37 comparison does not report. Google says a 45 W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately, is needed for its stated fast-charge behavior.

Choose the Galaxy A37 for a larger display and faster wired charging
The A37’s 6.7-inch screen gives you more display area, and Android Central reports wired charging up to 45 W compared with the Pixel’s up-to-30 W rating. Samsung also lists more RAM and storage combinations in some markets, including a 12 GB RAM option; check local availability before choosing based on that configuration.
Compare update commitments, not just launch software
Samsung’s official commitment is up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates. Samsung notes that timing can vary by model and market. Android Central reports seven years of OS upgrades for the Pixel 10a. These are stated support terms, not a guarantee that every update arrives on the same schedule everywhere.

Do not pick a camera winner by megapixels alone
The A37 has a higher-resolution main camera on paper and adds a dedicated 5 MP macro camera; the Pixel has a higher-resolution ultrawide. Those specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos. Android Central said its comparison had not tested the A37 camera, and no controlled head-to-head camera results are available here.

There is no established controlled head-to-head benchmark, battery-endurance test, or comparative camera test for these phones in the cited material. The listed battery capacities and charging ratings are specifications, not evidence of real-world runtime or charging times. Samsung’s launch announcement includes an “up to two days” battery statement for the A57/A37 family, but the cited independent assessment footnote refers to pre-release A57 testing, so it should not be treated as an A37 test result.
