The Pixel 10a and Motorola Edge 70 differ most clearly in screen size and the specifications each manufacturer publishes: Google lists a 6.3-inch display, Tensor G4 and 5,100mAh typical battery for the Pixel, while Motorola lists up to 120Hz and a regional brochure specifies a 6.67-inch display. There is no reliable universal price difference: the available Pixel prices are from France and a time-limited US offer, and a current official Edge 70 price has not been established. Compare local listings for the same date, storage and condition before deciding which costs less.

Pixel specifications are listed by Google Pixel Phone Help. Motorola’s Edge 70 support page lists features including up-to-120Hz, HDR10+ and Wi-Fi 6E. The screen size, peak-brightness figure and 50MP camera specification come from a regional Motorola technical brochure; check the exact model and market because regional configurations may differ.

Which phone has the better display?
The Edge 70 has the larger screen in the cited specifications: Motorola’s regional brochure gives it a 6.67-inch panel, compared with Google’s 6.3-inch Pixel 10a. Both are listed as supporting refresh rates up to 120Hz, but Google’s specification also states a 1080 × 2424 resolution and Gorilla Glass 7i. Motorola lists HDR10+ and, in its regional brochure, peak brightness up to 4,500 nits. These are manufacturer specifications, not results from a comparable independent display test.
If a larger viewing area is your priority, the Edge 70’s regional screen specification points that way. If you want a published resolution and display-protection specification, Google provides those details for the Pixel 10a. The available figures do not establish which screen looks better in everyday use.

Performance, memory and storage
Google lists the Pixel 10a with a Tensor G4 processor, 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The cited Motorola official materials do not establish enough Edge 70 processor, memory or storage detail for a like-for-like comparison. That means the listed information cannot support a claim that one phone is faster or offers more memory.
Before buying, check the exact Edge 70 model and storage configuration offered in your country, then compare it with the Pixel variant you intend to purchase. Do not confuse the Edge 70 with the separately named Edge 70 Fusion or Edge 70 Pro.

Camera hardware: megapixels are not a photo-quality verdict
Google specifies a 48MP wide camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera for the Pixel 10a. Motorola’s regional brochure lists a 50MP rear camera for the Edge 70, but that figure alone does not show whether it has an ultrawide camera or how the phones compare in image quality. Megapixel counts cannot substitute for matched camera testing, and no controlled head-to-head camera results are established here.
For a camera decision, confirm the full camera configuration for the exact Edge 70 variant in your market and look for comparisons made under the same conditions. The available specifications are useful for identifying hardware, not declaring a photographic winner.

Battery and charging
Google lists a 5,100mAh typical Pixel 10a battery, with a minimum capacity of 5,000mAh, and support for Qi-certified wireless charging. Google says the phone can reach 50% charge in about 30 minutes when connected to a 45W-or-higher USB-C PPS charger, sold separately. That is a manufacturer charging claim, not a comparative test.
The cited Edge 70 materials do not establish battery capacity or charging details sufficient for a direct comparison. Nor do the available figures establish which phone lasts longer: capacity alone would not determine real-world runtime. Check the regional Motorola specifications and independent matched battery tests if battery life is a deciding factor.

A single, current price gap cannot be calculated from the available figures because they cover different countries and conditions, and there is no current official Edge 70 price in the cited material. The Pixel figures below are dated store snapshots, not guaranteed prices today.

To work out a meaningful local difference, compare new phones in the same country on the same date, with the same storage capacity where possible and equivalent retailer and promotion conditions. Subtract the Edge 70 price from the Pixel price, or vice versa, and state which phone costs more. Include whether prices are promotional, and do not compare a refurbished listing with a new one.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Pixel 10a if its published 128GB or 256GB storage options, Tensor G4, Qi wireless charging or specified wide-plus-ultrawide camera setup suit your needs. Check the price for your market and storage variant.
- Consider the Edge 70 if you prefer the larger 6.67-inch screen specified in Motorola’s regional brochure or its listed display features. Verify that those brochure specifications apply to the model sold where you live.
- Wait for more comparable information if your choice depends on Edge 70 performance, battery life, charging, complete camera hardware or a direct price gap. Those comparisons require exact regional configurations, current matching prices or controlled tests.
What the specifications can—and cannot—tell you
The figures here come from manufacturer specifications and store pages, not independent comparative tests. They identify listed hardware and regional price examples; they do not establish a performance, camera, battery-life or overall-value winner. Google’s French product page also lists a two-year warranty for that regional page, which should not be treated as a warranty term for every country.
