PD EDC presents the VAULT-M3 as a modular everyday-carry organizer that can also prop open as a portable workstation. Its advertised 55°, 80° and 180° positions, swappable organization pages and multiple carry modes distinguish its concept from a fixed-layout pouch. Those are manufacturer-described features, not independently verified usability or durability results.
What the VAULT-M3 is designed to do
PD EDC calls the VAULT-M3 “The All-in-One EDC Workstation.” The idea is to combine storage for everyday gear with an organizer that can be opened and positioned for access. The company’s page says fixed organizers dictate where items go, while the M3 lets the user decide; its central modular feature is a set of four advertised swappable page styles. PD EDC’s VAULT-M3 page describes these as product features, not independently tested outcomes.

The product page lists two versions, VAULT-M3 COMPACT and VAULT-M3 LOADOUT, alongside three color options. It does not establish that one size is better overall. The practical choice depends on the gear you intend to carry, how much room it needs, and whether the resulting organizer is comfortable to carry and open where you plan to use it.

How the advertised workstation positions work as a concept
PD EDC advertises three deployment angles: 55°, 80° and 180°. The angles suggest different ways to arrange the organizer for access, from a more upright position to fully open. The published page does not independently demonstrate how stable, convenient or comfortable those positions are with a particular loadout, so treat them as specifications to evaluate rather than proven ergonomic benefits.

Think about the surface and setting where you would open it. A position that is useful on a desk may not suit a cramped work area or an uneven surface. If possible, check campaign imagery and the live product details for how each angle is supported, whether the organizer stays open when loaded, and whether the layout lets you reach the items you use most.
Choosing a size, page layout and carry mode
The campaign-linked product page presents the VAULT-M3 as configurable for several kinds of gear, while the official page advertises four interchangeable pages and seven ways to carry it. These options make the system sound adaptable, but the available product descriptions do not identify a universally best setup. Compare them against your actual kit rather than choosing on feature count alone.

- Size: Compare Compact and Loadout against the dimensions and capacity stated in the live offer, then consider whether the packed organizer will be manageable in your usual bag or carry setup.
- Page style: Match the page configuration to the size and shape of your items, and check which pages are included with the specific reward you are considering.
- Opening angle: Choose based on where you expect to access the contents; confirm that the selected position suits your working surface and load.
- Carry mode: Review the seven advertised modes and identify which one you would actually use. Confirm what hardware or attachment points each mode requires.
What the product page says it can hold
A campaign-linked First Backer product page names everyday-carry gear, a tech kit, a first-aid setup, fishing gear and repair tools as intended uses. It describes flexible storage, pockets, elastic retention, structured dividers and integrated MOLLE. These are the seller’s descriptions of the organizer’s construction and intended use; they do not establish that every configuration will fit every kit or that the product has been tested for a particular professional or safety-critical use.

No independent test documentation was established for those claims. IPX4 is a stated splash-protection rating, not a promise that the organizer is waterproof or suitable for submersion. Treat the material and protection details as product-page claims unless the campaign supplies test documentation and clearly defines what is covered.

Is it worth backing?
The VAULT-M3 may be worth considering if you specifically want one organizer that can be reconfigured with different pages and opened in several advertised positions. It is a less compelling fit if you need a simple fixed-layout pouch, already have an organizer that suits your loadout, or cannot confirm that the size and included configuration meet your needs.
The official PD EDC page links to Kickstarter, and the campaign-linked product page describes backing as a pre-order, with delivery after production. A press release carried by The National Law Review reports that PD EDC launched the VAULT M3 campaign on October 5, 2026. The reviewed materials did not establish the live funding status, current reward prices, delivery estimate or Amazon availability. Check the campaign itself for current terms before committing, including the specific size, pages and accessories in the reward, shipping details, estimated fulfillment and the campaign’s terms for changes or delays.
