Google My Activity is the Google Account page where you can review and manage eligible activity Google has saved under your account settings. It can show activity from Google sites, apps and services when you’re signed in, but it is not a complete record of everything you do on every device.
What Google My Activity is—and what it isn’t
Google says activity is saved according to your My Activity settings and your use of Google services. The page is an account-level place to review saved activity; it does not necessarily show every action on a device, and it should not be treated as a complete device or browser log. Google Account Help explains the activity controls and what may appear there.

What you see depends on which settings are enabled and which Google services you use while signed in. Google’s Privacy Policy also describes My Activity as a place to review and control data saved to an account.

What can appear in My Activity?
Google’s examples include topics you searched for, articles you read, videos you watched, content you uploaded, and certain recordings, such as recordings from Search Live or Translate. You can filter available activity by date, Google product, or keyword. The page shows only activity that is eligible to be saved under your settings.

How the main activity controls differ
Google presents these as separate controls for different categories of account activity. Their descriptions are available on the Google Account data and privacy settings page.

Google says some settings for Search services—including Search, Maps, Shopping, Flights, Hotels, Translate, and News—are being updated gradually. If the settings shown in your account differ from the Help article, Google says Web & App Activity still controls history and personalized recommendations for Search services. Exact labels and availability can therefore vary during the rollout; use the controls currently shown in your own account. Google’s My Activity Help page describes this transition.

Review or delete activity
In My Activity, use the available filters to find entries by date, product, or keyword. Google says you can delete individual eligible items, activity from a selected period, or all activity. Deleted activity will not be used to personalize your Google experience.

Google Account Help lists automatic deletion choices of 3, 18, or 36 months. These are available intervals for the setting, not a guarantee that every type of activity is saved or deleted on the same schedule. Check the options presented in your account when configuring automatic deletion.

My Activity does not necessarily clear browser history
Account activity and browser history are separate. Google Search Help warns: “Even if your search history isn’t saved to your Google Account, or you delete it from My Activity, your browser might track it.” To remove browser-stored history, use the history and data controls in the browser itself; deleting account activity alone may not remove it.
