Google Cloud’s Gemini agent offerings cover two different products: Gemini Enterprise, where employees discover and use agents, and Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, where technical teams build, deploy, and govern them. Availability depends on edition, rollout eligibility, and location. Costs can include more than a seat fee: model usage and agent infrastructure may also be billed.
What does “Google Cloud Gemini agents” mean?
The phrase can refer to either the employee-facing Gemini Enterprise app or the developer-oriented Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. They serve different users and jobs:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
| Product | Primary user | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Gemini Enterprise app | Employees and administrators | Discover and use Google-made, organization-created, and partner agents. Employees can also create workflows with Workflow Builder when an administrator enables it. |
| Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform | Developers and administrators | Build, deploy, and govern agents and their supporting infrastructure. Google describes it as the evolution of Vertex AI. |
The app and platform are related, but access to the app does not mean an organization has every agent-building feature or platform service. Features and eligibility vary by edition and rollout. Google’s Gemini Enterprise product page and Agent Platform overview describe their respective roles.
Is Gemini Enterprise available to my organization?
Not every edition or feature is necessarily available to every organization. Google describes a pay-as-you-go Gemini Enterprise edition for organizations with 20 or more seats, but says it is gradually rolling out to a limited group. Its stated $0 seat fee applies to that edition and eligibility condition; usage charges still apply. Gemini Notebook is not currently included in that pay-as-you-go edition. Confirm access and terms with Google before planning a deployment. Google’s product and pricing page is the source for current edition information.

Other capabilities are edition-specific. Google’s product material marks some features as available in Standard and Plus editions, so check the feature list for the particular edition you are considering rather than assuming every tenant has the same functionality.
Which agents can employees use, and can they create their own?
Google describes three categories of agent experiences in Gemini Enterprise: Google-made agents, agents created by an organization, and partner agents. The partner marketplace and administrator controls are intended to let organizations decide which partner-built agents employees can access. These ecosystem features do not guarantee that every third-party agent is compatible with, or enabled in, every tenant. Google’s Gemini Enterprise information describes the app and partner-agent ecosystem.
For employee-created workflows, Workflow Builder is a no-code/low-code option. An administrator must enable the feature before employees can use it, according to Google’s Workflow Builder overview. Access to Workflow Builder should not be confused with unrestricted access to developer platform tools.

Does Gemini Enterprise integrate with Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, or ServiceNow?
Google’s documentation identifies prebuilt connectors for Confluence, Jira, Microsoft SharePoint, and ServiceNow. Google describes the integrations as supporting permissions-aware access to enterprise information. This is a documented set of examples, not a complete connector catalogue; availability and setup can depend on the product edition and connector. Check the current documentation for supported content types and configuration requirements before selecting a connector. Google’s connector documentation lists connector information.
Google also describes interoperability work around the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol. Protocol work and marketplace listings should not be taken as a promise that any particular external agent will work in a given organization’s environment.
Where can the Agent Platform run, and what about data residency?
Agent infrastructure services—including runtime, sessions, memory, sandboxes, and Agent Gateway—have supported-location information in Google’s Agent Platform location documentation. Model endpoints have separate location documentation, so a supported location for infrastructure does not by itself establish that a chosen model endpoint is available there. Check both for the specific services you intend to use.

Google says global model endpoints can offer higher availability and reliability than single-region endpoints, but they do not guarantee data residency or in-region machine-learning processing. If residency or processing location is a requirement, verify the precise service and endpoint terms rather than relying on the word “global.”

There is no single universal price for a Gemini agent. The total depends on the product and edition, model and endpoint, usage, and infrastructure configuration. A pay-as-you-go edition’s $0 seat fee does not make the service free: tokens, memory, compute, and storage can still incur charges. Google’s Gemini Enterprise pricing page covers edition details; the Agent Platform generative AI pricing page and Agent Platform pricing page cover usage charges. Rates and terms can change, so verify live prices before budgeting.
Model inference and grounding
Model charges are listed per million tokens and vary by model, input or output type, context, and endpoint. Grounding can add another usage component. As listed by Google Cloud on October 9, 2026, the generative AI pricing page included 5,000 Google Web Search and Image Search grounding queries per month at no charge, aggregated across Gemini 3 models, with excess queries priced at $14 per 1,000 queries. The page described billing per individual query. These are vendor-published rates from that date, not a guarantee of current pricing; check the live table and applicable billing terms.
Agent infrastructure
Agent Platform infrastructure services can add charges for compute, storage, and operations. Google Cloud’s Agent Platform pricing page listed Agent Compute associated with Agent Gateway request processing at $0.085 per vCPU-hour and Memory Bank storage at $0.30 per GiB-month as of October 9, 2026. The same pricing material describes operation-based charges. Treat these as dated vendor rates: confirm the live price page and the billing details for your configuration.
Quick Recap
Build a cost estimate before deployment
- Identify the product and edition. Decide whether employees need the Gemini Enterprise app, developers need Agent Platform, or the organization needs both; confirm edition, seat count, and rollout eligibility.
- List what will be enabled. Specify the agents, connectors, and workflow features users need, including any administrator controls or setup work.
- Select models and locations. Choose the model endpoint and region, then confirm that the required Agent Platform infrastructure services are supported in the locations you need.
- Estimate usage by component. Account for model input and output tokens, grounding queries, runtime or compute, memory, storage, and any operation-based charges that apply.
- Verify current terms. Check Google’s live pricing and product pages, and confirm pay-as-you-go availability or sales eligibility directly with Google before committing.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
