Android Central identifies the Light profile as an option under Device care. The available evidence does not specify a more detailed menu path or confirm whether labels vary by software version or region, so look in Device care for the performance profile and select Light if it is available. The change is a built-in setting; it does not require buying an accessory or installing an optimization app.
What to expect from the battery figures
Samsung’s US product page lists a 5,000 mAh battery and claims up to 27 hours of video playback for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: Samsung’s product specifications. “Up to” is the manufacturer’s qualified video-playback claim, not an everyday mixed-use estimate or an independent test. It also does not establish how much Light mode adds.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra on July 22, 2026, and its UK newsroom also describes a 5,000 mAh battery: Samsung Newsroom UK’s announcement. The announcement discusses 45W charging architecture; charging speed is separate from the Light profile’s reported effect on day-to-day battery use.
