The 256GB Galaxy S25 Edge is listed at $1,099.99 in Samsung’s US March 2026 MSRP, while the 256GB Galaxy A57 is listed at $609.99 on Samsung’s US purchase page—a $490 difference before promotions or checkout adjustments. The Edge’s published specifications emphasize a thinner, lighter build, a higher-resolution display and a 200MP main camera. The A57 costs less, has a larger stated battery capacity and adds a macro camera. Those specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in everyday use.
US price difference: $490 for the 256GB models
For a same-capacity comparison, Samsung’s US March 2026 MSRP list gives the unlocked Galaxy S25 Edge with 256GB storage a price of $1,099.99. Samsung’s US A57 purchase page lists the 256GB model at $609.99. The difference between those listed prices is $490; it is not a promised checkout price, and promotions can change what buyers pay.

Samsung’s S25 Edge announcement and specifications and its UK A57 specifications describe the hardware above. The A57 page is for a UK-market 512GB variant; its configuration should not be assumed to apply in the US. Samsung says S25 Edge memory options can vary by market as well.
Screen: higher resolution on the S25 Edge
Both phones have a 6.7-inch display measured across the full rectangle and offer refresh rates up to 120Hz. The S25 Edge uses a QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with an adaptive 1–120Hz rate; the A57 uses an FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus panel rated up to 120Hz. The listed specifications give the Edge the higher resolution, while the shared size and top refresh-rate figure do not make the panels equivalent.
Build: the S25 Edge is thinner and lighter
Samsung lists the Edge at 5.8mm thick and 163g, versus 6.9mm and 179g for the A57. On those published figures, the Edge is 1.1mm thinner and 16g lighter. The A57 is slightly taller and wider in the listed dimensions. These measurements describe the phones themselves; they do not establish how either feels in a particular case.
Cameras: more megapixels do not settle image quality
The S25 Edge has a 200MP main wide camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The A57 pairs a 50MP OIS-equipped wide camera with a 12MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro camera. Both list a 12MP front camera.

The Edge has the higher stated main-camera pixel count; the A57 has an extra rear camera dedicated to macro photography. Pixel counts and camera categories alone do not show which phone produces better images. No controlled head-to-head camera results are established here, so a claim that one takes better photos would go beyond the available evidence.
Battery: the A57 has more stated capacity, not proven longer runtime
Samsung lists typical battery capacity as 5,000mAh for the A57 and 3,900mAh for the S25 Edge. The Edge’s rated minimum capacity is 3,786mAh. Typical and rated-minimum figures are different measures, and neither capacity comparison establishes real-world battery life. No controlled comparative battery results are available here.

Storage, box contents and software support
The cited US Samsung listings offer the A57 in 128GB and 256GB configurations. Samsung’s US S25 Edge MSRP list gives 256GB and 512GB models. Samsung’s UK A57 specifications page lists a 512GB model, but that does not establish that the same storage option is available in the US.

For the US A57 listing, Samsung says the box contains the phone, a data cable and an ejection pin, and that a charger is not included. The cited S25 Edge information does not establish matching box contents for the same market, so there is no basis here for a direct packaging comparison.

Which phone fits your priorities?
- Choose the S25 Edge on published specifications if a thinner, lighter phone and a QHD+ display matter most, or if you specifically want its 200MP main-camera hardware.
- Choose the A57 on published specifications if lower US listed prices, a larger typical battery capacity or a dedicated macro rear camera are more important.
- Compare exact storage and current local pricing before buying. The $490 same-capacity difference is based on Samsung’s cited US list prices; it does not account for discounts, trade-ins or prices in other markets.
This is a comparison of manufacturer specifications and listed prices, not a hands-on review. The figures do not substitute for controlled camera, battery or performance testing.
