The confirmed notices cover models SM-S921B and SM-S921E, plus a US SM-S921U variant; they do not establish that the update is available for every S24 model, country, or carrier.
What the September update includes
The listed firmware keeps the phone on Android 16 and is described by Samsung as bringing improved security. These notices describe a security update, not a major Android or One UI version upgrade. Samsung does not provide an S24-specific, item-by-item vulnerability changelog in the device notices.

How to check whether your phone has it
- Open Settings → Software update → Download and install.
- If an update is offered, review the details and follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it.
- After installation, check your model number, software build, and security patch level in the phone’s software information. Compare them with the Samsung notice for your exact variant and region.
If no update appears, Samsung advises checking periodically. A listed release date is not confirmation that every carrier or regional variant received the update on that date.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why availability can differ
Samsung warns that update availability and changes can differ by device model, country, and service provider or network operator. Firmware build numbers also vary by model, so a different build from one in the table is not, on its own, evidence that your phone is missing the update. Use the support notice matching your precise variant and region rather than comparing against another S24 model.
