Yes. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE has an optical fingerprint sensor built into the display, rather than a sensor on the back. Samsung’s support guidance explicitly lists the Galaxy S20 FE 5G among phones with an in-display fingerprint reader.
Where is the Galaxy S20 FE fingerprint sensor?
The reader is under the front display. Place a registered finger on the designated area of the screen when prompted to unlock the phone or confirm an action. Samsung’s 5G datasheet labels the component an “Optical Fingerprint Reader,” while its launch specifications call it an “Optical Fingerprint sensor.”

Does this apply to every S20 FE variant?
The cited Samsung support list specifically names the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and Samsung Business’s support page for model SM-G781U lists a fingerprint sensor among the device sensors. If you are checking a particular phone, confirm its model code and consult the documentation for its region or carrier. Samsung notes that instructions can vary by device, carrier, and software version.
