There is no universal price for a full-page screenshot API call. A provider may charge one credit for a full-page image, two credits, or a share of a monthly quota. To compare costs fairly, check what the provider counts as a billable capture, then include plan limits, overages, caching, failures, page-height limits, and any features your workload needs.
What determines the cost of a full-page screenshot?
The first question is what the provider’s billing unit buys. Some charge by successful screenshot, some deduct credits according to capture type, and others sell a monthly allowance or prepaid pack. A low headline price is not comparable to another until you know whether both cover the same page length, output, geography, and rendering options.

URLpipe lists one credit per screenshot, whether viewport or full-page, with options included. Its pricing page says it was last updated in September 2026; it also sets page-height and file-size limits, so a flat credit does not mean an unlimited capture. URLpipe pricing

What counts as billable
Ask whether failed renders, timeouts, cache hits, retries, or idempotency replays consume usage. The rules differ: URLpipe says cache hits and failed requests cost nothing; Screenshot APIs app says failed renders, cache hits, and idempotency replays do not count toward quota; ScreenshotAPI says a screenshot counts when a successful image is taken and that failures caused by server interruption or page-load failure are not credited. These are vendors’ own billing claims, not a shared industry rule. URLpipe, Screenshot APIs app, ScreenshotAPI
Capacity and features
A plan’s practical value also depends on its included monthly volume, extra-credit price, request-per-minute limit, credit expiry or rollover terms, and the capabilities needed for your pages. Regional capture, interactions, PDFs, video, and support can change which plan fits. ScreenshotCenter, for example, counts video at one screenshot unit per five seconds; its pricing page also differentiates geography and features. ScreenshotCenter pricing

How to calculate your effective cost per usable capture
For a monthly plan, estimate the cost of the work you actually expect to complete, then divide by successful, usable captures:
Rank #3
Effective cost per successful capture = (plan charge + expected overage or credits + required add-on charges) ÷ expected successful, usable captures
- Estimate demand by capture type. Count expected viewport and full-page requests separately, as well as any PDFs or videos if they use a different billing unit.
- Apply the provider’s billable-outcome rules. Exclude cache hits or refunded failures from paid usage when the provider explicitly says they are free, but account for operational retries when estimating demand.
- Apply credit multipliers and included allowance. For a provider charging two credits for full-page capture, count each such request as two credits. Subtract the plan allowance and include listed overages or packs.
- Check capacity constraints. Confirm the request-per-minute limit, page-height ceiling, geography, output type, and interaction requirements. A plan that is cheap on paper may not handle the workload.
- Divide monthly spend by successful, usable results. Do not divide by requests sent if some fail, return unusable pages, or are never needed because a cached result is reused.
For a mixed workload, calculate the cost of each request category with its own credit or unit rule, then add the categories before dividing by total successful usable captures. There is no defensible market-wide average price per full-page screenshot in the cited vendor listings.

Which price model fits your workload?
- Occasional or variable use: compare free allowances, pay-as-you-go packs, credit expiration, and whether unused volume rolls over. A large monthly plan can be poor value if demand is sporadic.
- Predictable monthly volume: compare included captures and overage costs at your expected volume, rather than choosing by the smallest advertised per-shot number.
- Large or time-sensitive batches: check request-per-minute limits and whether the service supports bulk capture. A generous monthly quota does not guarantee enough throughput for a short processing window.
- Long or complex pages: inspect page-height and file-size ceilings, wait behavior, and whether full-page mode costs extra. A one-credit full-page capture can still be bounded.
- Special outputs or geography: include any different billing for video, PDFs, regional routing, or required interactions in the estimate.

ScreenshotNeo offers a one-request screenshot API and an MCP server for AI agents. It accepts consent banners like a visitor and removes 60+ known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets before capture; each cleanup step can be turned off. Only clean shots are billed: bot checks/CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, with the outcome identified in response headers. Its MCP tools include take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf.

Quick Recap
Questions to check before choosing a provider
- Does a full-page capture consume more credits than a viewport capture?
- Are cache hits, failed loads, timeouts, and retries billed or refunded?
- How many captures are included, what happens at the limit, and do credits expire?
- What page-height, file-size, rate, regional, or output limits apply to the plan you need?
- Does the quoted price include the formats, interactions, and support your workflow requires?
