The Fractal Design Scape is a wireless gaming headset with a magnetic charging stand, and PC Gamer reported it at $169.99 on Amazon on October 5, 2026, down from $199.99. That is a dated price report, not confirmation that the offer is still available. The standout appeal is the easy-to-dock stand; the main compromises in PC Gamer hardware writer Andy Edser’s assessment are an average-sounding microphone, no noise cancellation, and a high price even on sale.

The Scape includes a magnetic wireless charging stand. Edser describes placing the headset near its magnetic rests, where it settles into position to charge. That makes returning the headset to its stand the practical draw: there is less need to plug in a cable each time you finish using it.

What PC Gamer’s writer liked—and what he didn’t

Comfort, sound, and appearance
Edser praises the Scape’s comfort, appearance, subtle RGB lighting, and sound. He describes the stock EQ as neutral and says software presets can adjust it; in his view, the bass can be made punchy while the midrange and treble remain well-defined. Those judgments reflect his listening experience rather than a measured comparison with other headsets.

Microphone and price trade-offs
Edser considers the microphone average in audio quality and notes that it lacks noise cancelling. It is removable and has flip-to-mute functionality, but those conveniences do not change his assessment of its sound. He also considers the headset expensive, including at the reported sale price.
