SteamDB-based coverage reports that the Steam listing stopped naming Denuvo Anti-Tamper in an update on September 30, 2026. One report gives the recorded change time as 17:30:06 UTC. Tomb Raider Chronicles and Prima Games describe the listing change; it concerns a third-party DRM field, not a confirmed change to the game’s released files.

The SteamDB game page is a dynamic listing, so its current display and captured earlier records may differ. Coverage says the earlier listing named Denuvo and that the later update removed that mention. The available information does not establish why the field changed or whether the change will persist.

Not necessarily. A storefront metadata change does not by itself show whether Denuvo has been removed from the executable, whether it will be present in the final PC build, or whether another DRM method will be used. No official statement about this change appears in the announcement and preorder materials reviewed. That is not the same as proving that no statement exists elsewhere.

Accordingly, “Denuvo has been removed from the Steam listing” is supported by current reporting; “the game will launch DRM-free” is not established. The title has not yet released, so its final configuration remains unknown.
What is Legacy of Atlantis, and when is it due?
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is an Unreal Engine 5 reimagining of Lara Croft’s 1996 debut, developed by Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog. Official materials describe expanded environments, redesigned puzzles, and a reworked Lost Valley. Studio Creative Director Noah Hughes called it “a true reimagining of the original game” in the official game announcement; that statement describes the project, not its DRM.

The official preorder announcement, published June 2, 2026, lists February 12, 2027 as the scheduled release date and names PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam/PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The date is subject to change. The announcement describes the product as a full-game digital download.
Why are players watching the DRM listing?
Denuvo is a third-party anti-tamper technology, and its presence or removal can matter to players deciding whether to buy or how they want to play a PC game. Some players raise performance concerns about Denuvo generally, but there is no published performance measurement for this unreleased title in the sources reviewed. The listing change alone cannot settle those concerns for Legacy of Atlantis.
