If you forgot your Realme pattern, first try any configured fingerprint or face unlock and check that you are using the right credential and user profile. If those options fail, Realme’s documented recovery on supported models is to format the phone in Recovery mode, which erases local data; the pattern itself cannot be retrieved. Some models require help from an authorized service center instead.
Try these checks before resetting
- Use biometrics if they are enabled. Try fingerprint or face unlock before taking a destructive step.
- Check the credential and user profile. Make sure the pattern is the one currently set. Consider whether it may have been changed, and whether the phone is using a sub-user account. Realme says restarting the phone defaults to the primary user account.
Realme says the lock-screen password is encrypted using an irreversible algorithm and cannot be retrieved through other means after it is forgotten. This is Realme’s official support statement, not an independent cryptographic assessment. Its guidance does not provide a data-preserving pattern bypass.

Understand what a reset will do
Formatting the phone erases its data. Realme also warns that flashing, wiping data, or resetting can erase backups stored on the device. Do not proceed on the assumption that you can recover inaccessible local files afterward.
Before you reset, make sure you can sign in to the Google account previously associated with the phone. Realme says the account password may be requested during activation after data is cleared. If you have forgotten it, use Google Account recovery before wiping the device.

Check whether your model uses Recovery formatting
Realme’s forgotten-password FAQ lists Recovery formatting for realme UI 2.0 through 7.0 and specified devices. It directs realme UI 1.0 (Android 10), certain R, S, T, Go, and U editions, and specified tablets to customer service with valid proof of purchase instead. Model and regional support can vary, so confirm the instructions for your exact device before following button steps.
Format a supported phone in Recovery mode
These steps erase the phone. Use them only if your model is covered by Realme’s Recovery instructions and you accept the data loss.

- Power the phone off.
- Hold Power and Volume Down until the phone vibrates or enters Recovery mode.
- Choose a language if prompted.
- Select Wipe data, then Format data.
- Enter the verification code displayed on the screen.
- Choose Format and wait for the “Wiped successfully” confirmation.
Realme’s separate factory-reset instructions also describe a reset through Settings, but that route generally requires an unlocked, usable phone; it is not a way around a forgotten lock screen.
When to contact Realme service
If your edition is directed to service, your model is not covered by the listed Recovery procedure, or the documented steps do not work, take the phone to an authorized Realme service center. Bring proof of purchase; requirements vary by region, and Realme’s global troubleshooting guidance also mentions a purchase certificate and warranty card for a forgotten-passcode visit. Avoid third-party services promising to bypass the pattern while preserving encrypted local data: the official guidance does not support that promise.
