If Miami or Tampa is suitable, ExpressVPN documents both. Windscribe documents those cities plus Orlando. How to weigh privacy statements
Each provider’s privacy and security descriptions are its own claims. They are useful for identifying what a provider says it offers, but the cited pages do not establish independent verification of those claims. Do not treat a no-logs policy as proof of anonymity: a VPN changes the network route and the IP address websites see, but it does not eliminate other ways services may identify you.
What Florida law does—and does not—say about VPNs
Florida’s 2026 statute on controller duties says covered controllers must limit collection of personal data to what is adequate, relevant, and reasonably necessary for disclosed purposes, and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical data-security practices. How to verify a Florida connection
- Open the provider’s VPN app and look for the Florida city or location you intend to use.
- Connect, then check the location reported by a reputable IP lookup service. If it does not show a Florida location, disconnect and try another listed endpoint or contact the provider.
- If you need a particular website or service, test it while connected. A Florida IP does not guarantee that every service will accept the connection or treat it as local.
