If Gyre does not recognize your YouTube channel, reconnect it through Gyre’s Connect with YouTube flow using the Google Account that owns the channel, then check that you selected the right channel. A YouTube Studio invitation to another account may not be enough: YouTube says invited channel delegates cannot access YouTube APIs. If this is the channel’s first live stream, also check YouTube verification; Gyre says it can take up to 24 hours.
Reconnect the channel through Gyre
- In Gyre’s stream creation flow, select YouTube and choose Connect with YouTube. Gyre’s YouTube authorization guide says you can add a new channel or select one that is already connected.
- When Google’s authorization step opens, sign in with the Google Account that owns the intended YouTube channel. Gyre says the owner account must authorize the request and that each channel must be authorized separately.
- Complete the authorization, then add the channel or select it from Gyre’s connected channels.
- If that Google Account is associated with multiple channels, confirm you selected the intended one in Gyre.
Check what “granted access” meant
There are two different permission paths that can sound similar. Gyre’s YouTube connection is authorized through Google by the account that owns the channel. YouTube Studio channel permissions, by contrast, let an owner invite delegates to perform certain channel tasks. YouTube says invited delegates cannot access YouTube APIs, so a Studio invitation may not supply the authorization Gyre needs.

| Access path | What it does | What to check in Gyre |
|---|---|---|
| Gyre’s Connect with YouTube flow | Gyre says the Google Account that owns the channel authorizes the YouTube API connection. | Use the owner account, then add or select the intended channel. |
| YouTube Studio channel permissions | YouTube supports role-based delegation for some channel tasks, but says invited delegates cannot access YouTube APIs. | If you only invited another Google Account as a delegate, try Gyre’s connection flow with the channel-owning account. |
See YouTube’s explanation of channel permissions and invited delegates. This is a troubleshooting possibility, not a confirmed explanation for every case of Gyre failing to recognize a channel.

Check verification if this is the channel’s first live stream
Gyre lists YouTube channel verification as a prerequisite for first-time live streaming. Its authorization guide says verification may take up to 24 hours. Check the channel’s verification status and allow for that processing time if you have just completed it.

What to do if the channel is still missing
Gyre’s reviewed public help material does not identify this exact “channel not recognized after granting access” symptom as a known error or prescribe a specific reset, cache-clearing, or access-revocation procedure. Avoid assuming that one generic authorization fix applies.
- Repeat the connection flow with the Google Account that owns the channel.
- Verify the intended channel is selected, especially if the account has multiple channels.
- Note the exact error text, which Google Account authorized Gyre, and whether that account owns the channel or is only a delegate.
- Contact Gyre support and provide those details if authorization completes but the channel remains absent.
Keep the issue separate from Gyre login and video uploads
- Gyre’s page titled “Authorization error” concerns signing in to a Gyre account; it recommends confirming the registration email or resetting the Gyre password if the email is already confirmed. It does not describe YouTube channel recognition. See Gyre’s account authorization help.
- Gyre requires stream video files to be uploaded to Gyre Storage. That concerns preparing stream content, not whether an authorized YouTube channel appears. See Gyre’s storage guidance.
Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is to keep uploaded videos looping as a YouTube live stream rather than repair a Gyre connection, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. Every slot streams uploads as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and streams to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
