The Fisher & Paykel DW60FC2X2 is a 60 cm freestanding Series 5 dishwasher with a stated capacity of 15 place settings, seven programs and a manufacturer-listed noise level of 46 dBA. Its flexible baskets and door-opening drying feature may suit households prioritising loading options, but the available evidence does not establish how well it cleans or dries in independent testing.
What kind of dishwasher is the DW60FC2X2?
Fisher & Paykel lists the DW60FC2X2 as a stainless-steel, Contemporary-design freestanding model. It is not a built-in-only dishwasher, though its dimensions and installation clearances still need to suit the intended space. The Australian product page displayed a price of A$1,099 on 7 October 2026; treat that as a dated listing, not a guaranteed current price.

How much can it hold, and how adaptable are the racks?
The model-specific Fisher & Paykel guide, dated 10 March 2026, specifies 15 place settings. It says the lower basket accommodates round plates up to 320 mm and the top basket plates up to 250 mm. The upper basket is adjustable, and the guide lists foldable cup racks and fold-down tines. These features provide options for arranging different loads, but the stated place-setting capacity does not guarantee that every household’s dishes, cookware or serving pieces will fit conveniently.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Which programs and features are listed?
The manufacturer lists seven programs: 60 min, Auto, Eco, Heavy, Light, Medium and Rinse. Its description says Auto senses the load and adjusts wash settings. The guide also lists three modifiers—Dry+, Half Load and Sanitise—and features including Aqua Stop, flood protection, a stainless-steel tub, ThermoDry and three-stage filtration.
Auto Door Open Dry is a listed feature. Fisher & Paykel says, “AutoDry automatically opens the door at the end of a cycle for better drying.” That is the manufacturer’s feature claim, not independent evidence of drying results. The guide says the Sanitise claim is certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 184; this review has no independent validation of that certification claim.

How loud and efficient is it?
Fisher & Paykel specifies noise emissions of 46 dBA in its 10 March 2026 guide. This is a published specification, not a measurement from an independent test. Whether that level is acceptable depends on placement and household sensitivity, especially in an open-plan home.

What do independent reviews establish?
CHOICE has a listing for the exact model and reports a two-year warranty, but the available listing information does not show a test score or cleaning and drying results. The warranty term should be checked against the current terms for the buyer’s market. Without a visible independent score or direct test data, it is not possible to substantiate claims that the DW60FC2X2 cleans, dries or performs better than alternatives.
Before choosing it, consider the questions the specifications cannot answer: how long its cycles take in practice, whether Auto Door Open Dry leaves your dishes dry, how its racks work with your own cookware, and how its noise compares in your kitchen. A meaningful comparison with another dishwasher should use test results, dimensions, noise and efficiency labels for the same market, as well as warranty coverage and the delivered cost including installation.
